We are just back from a family gathering in this hotel. We all stayed in spacious, warm family rooms which had great views of the sea.We found that the breakfasts were good, there was plenty of food available. We also enjoyed the evening meal, which was a part of our package, the fact that children could have half portions of the dinner menu meant that everybody ate well and children cleared their plates. However we found that bar food was overpriced and portions were on the small side.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a lovely atmosphere about the place.Decor was a bit tired.Carpet in the foyer could do with being changed.
Children enjoyed the pool as the water was lovely and warm and adults enjoyed the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna! Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and have no complaints. Would return!

Room Tip: Select a room with a sea view

I am just back from a lovely weekend in the Yeats Hotel. We got a deal for 2 night with breakfast each morning and 1 main course meal, with a glass of wine. The meal was delicious I had the chicken supreme which was so tender, and my boyfriend got the steak which he was delighted with. The receptionists are approachable, the perfect front of house They will help you with anything, from booking a table in the restaurant in town, to giving us toothpaste (as we both forgot ours) saving the trip to the shops.
The room was very spacious with a lovely view. The bar area was great, we had great fun with the bar man. The seaweed bath was included in our deal, the girls in the spa area were lovely too.

My 9 year old daughter and I spent some 'quality time' together and had a wonderful experience in the Yeats Country Hotel in March. We were provided with a huge family room, the staff were so friendly throughout and the food was wonderful too. We choose the hotel because of its beautiful location, and the fact that it was far enough to 'get away' yet near enough to return home. We didn't get an opportunity to use the spa, but did use the swimming pool which was lovely. I like smaller hotels as this one certainly didn't disappoint. We managed a brisk walk next to the beach in the morning and some retail shopping too as Sligo town is only 7/8 miles away. We have already planned to go again next year. The only change I would request is that they change the Michael Boulton cd that was continuously playing. I am a fan but would have liked a variety in background music, as I'm sure the staff would too :)

There are so many positive things that I can say about this hotel. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were met with a friendly smile and hello. Our hotel room was on the 4th floor with a nice view of Rosses Point. As I have stayed at Yeats Country Hotel before I have to say that there are better views with rooms at the front of the hotel.

The bedroom and bathroom was nice and clean.
There is WiFi everywhere in the hotel, which is great because in the past one had to go down to the reception area to use the Internet. We had one night complimentary dinner and the meal was delicious. The waiting staff were friendly, kind and overall very welcoming.

Overall I would give this hotel 9.7 out of 10.
The reception staff were brilliant and helpful.
The Eros Spa on the third floor is great.
The Candles Bar was opened on the second night, and the place was buzzing. There is a great friendly atmosphere in this hotel.
The hotel is lovely and warm and the open fires in the seating area are a great addition to the place.

I could not find any fault with this hotel only that we were given a late check out which was at two o clock but the cleaner kept coming in around 12.30 so we decided to depart as soon as we could. Other than that our stay in Yeats Country Hotel was a warm, enjoyable one.

I look forward to returning to Yeats Country Hotel in the near future, Rosses Point is in a wonderful location with a beautiful beach about 6-8 mins walk from the hotel. I would recommend both National and International visitors to stay at Yeats Country Hotel Sligo in the future.

So in 5 words I would say Warm, Welcoming, Friendly, Approachable and Accessible Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a front room of hotel. Views on the 4th floor are great. Enquire about special offers from...

The hotel was understaffed, but the couple that were working were friendly. The hotel itself needs ALOT of work. The carpets are rotting away, the walls are mouldy, the smell in the hall was disgusting! The bedroom wasn't too bad, but expected more for the price we paid. Would not recommend or stay there again.

I truly love this hotel it ticks all the boxes that I require in a county hotel. I am a well seasoned traveler and have been to a lot of hotels worldwide from one star to five star. Yates hotel offers traditional Irish hospitably and friendliness. I've been to a lot of five stars hotels in Ireland that the rooms are smaller, no scenic views and the spa & leisure centers fail in comparisons to Yates Hotel and especially to the Eros spa. The value for money here is the biggest bonus, there are always deals on all year round.
The rooms are spotless, big and have fantastic scenic views of coast & surrounding landscape. The only part of the hotel that appeared a little out-dated & worn was the carpet in the lobby. The rest of the hotel is homely, has an open fire, cosy couches & chairs, out door seats to enjoy the spectacular views. Toilets are spotless, the food is fine like any other in the area and the breakfast buffet has a wide range of food.
Staff are so friendly and accommodating. We change room three times to get the best sea view and staff where happy to help. This is a relaxing country hotel if people are looking for clubs and nightlife Sligo town is only 7km away. There is also a bus service that runs several times a day, the bus stop is directly outside the hotel.
It seems to me a lot of people who complain about the most trivial things need to have their own expectations & reality in check rather than slandering hotels for minor imperfections.

Room Tip: Pick a room on 3rd or 4th floor at the front which gives the best sea views.
