“Best place in town.”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

was recommended Eileen's by family in the area, ended up being the best recommendation of the holiday. Great homely (not to mention very funny) menu, friendly staff and food far beyond what I expected of a fairly small town. The omelet I was served was the size of a small mountain, very affordable and delicious. The slice of lemon meringue pie that followed wasn't so much a slice as a chunk, more than a quarter of a cake, and was too good not to finish despite already being packed by the omelet. Definitely one of the best of its type I have been served in years.

Its a brilliant little cafe well worth a visit if you are in the area, or worth a drive even if you aren't.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Stopped here on the way back from Dublin and it was a wonderful experience. Beautiful food, fantastic, friendly service and loads of stories. Freshly baked bread and a great atmosphere. Make sure you skip the Castleblayney bypass and call in, directly opposite the post office. We'll be back the next time we're travelling by.

“Great Coffee & Pancakes”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

First time in Castleblaney so it was pure chance that a group of friends stopped here for a coffee break on a long journey. Terry Sloane and his staff are very friendly and Terry is a wealth of stories about all the irish country music stars that once recorded in Castleblaney. That aside the food was good the Apple pancake definitely the winner. Home made brown bread was also another favourite of the group and the coffee was good. Excellent value only problem is you will end up hanging around chatting longer that you intended to.

Best place to relax with a coffee. And listen to the music. We had lunch and the soup was to die for.
