A great place to stay, very peaceful and relaxing lodge which is clean, high spec and has lots of character. We chose it as a base for fishing Muckno Lough and wasn't disappointed with easy access and plenty of room for our group. Even Outbuilding with fridges for bait and tackle storage. I definitely recommend this for anybody looking for quality, self catering accommodation. The small town of Castleblayney close by with it true Irish pubs and friendly people. I will be coming back ☘️ or ️ with the stunning Concra wood golf course very close by with beautiful views over looking Lough Muckno.
We were very impressed with Muckno Lodge. From it's location close to Lough Muckno and Concra Golf Course, to the well appointed rooms and beautiful decor- this property has it all. It truly felt like home. (The home made scones on arrival made us feel very welcome, and Fiona couldn't do enough for us). Thank You all. See you again very soon.
Couldnt fault Fionsa house at all. Great location, amazing house, it has it all. We stayed for 3 nights to play golf at the local course, Concra Wood. I was an amazing house and absolutely huge for all of us! Couldnt fault the place at all and being met by Fiona and her Mum and Dad with fresh baked scones was a nice touch also!!! We will be back!!!
Booked this on behalf of 5 guests, who said they absolutely loved Muckno Lodge. Very comfortable, modern and cosy in a great location. Fiona and co. were so friendly and helpful.
Adjacent to Castleblayney where we attended the Drama Festival. The house is great for ten people as long as there are three couples. Bring all your own food as there's no starter pack or basic store cupboard. The stove is great in the living room but do bring fuel and firelighters as it is not an easy stove to light.
The place is spotless with great linen and towels. We have stayed here before for a week and can't recommend it highly enough. Fiona and her dad are friendly and helpful.
I simply cannot rate this lodge highly enough.
There were 8 adults and 5 children and the house and location suited us all. Plenty of space for the kids to run about outside, and then Muckno park which is close by, had a great little park and a beautiful forrest walk. Fiona was lovely and the house was beautiful and cosy - lots of space and still a family feel to the home.
