Went there on a Citdeal voucher and it was an absolute bargain and a place i would revisit. We were a party of 4 and we played the golf and like others have said here its good but could so with some TLC. Dinner that night was excellent, nice staff and food of the highest quality. I had the lamb and it was without doubt the best cooked lamb i have had. I would compare it to any of Dublin's top 5 restuarants, Shanhan's etc. Hotel a bit old fashined but clean and cosy so no complaints from me. Staff very nice also. Will go back for sure.

My daughter, Grainne and her new husband Michael had their wedding reception in Hotel Nuremore. My family stayed there for one night. It was, all in all, a pleasant experience. The service was top class and the food was scrumptious. The hotel grounds, looking onto the the golf course and the lakes, were perfect for wedding photos. The function room was very large which left plenty of space for dining and dancing. The only insignificant observation i can make was - there were no batteries in my room TV remote ! So that says it all - we loved it !

Stayed here for a wedding in December and i'll be going back first chance i get. Great staff, huge rooms and a fantastic bar/restaurant set amidst beautifully kept grounds.Definately one to check out if you're ever looking for somewhere to stay in Carrick.

The four star rating is highly questionable. While the food is good there are serious problems elsewhere. As the review by @sadie m noted, friendlyness is not guaranteed and the place could do with a makeover The most disappointing apsect is the the pool/spa area, which is in a terrible state and certainly not of four star standard - I would say it is a health hazard.

We stayed in the Nuremore in early April on a 2 night deal incl breakfast.
The hotel is old style and some areas could benefit from a makeover and a general overhaul. Our double bedroom was very spacious and comfortable but again needs refreshing. Hygeine standards were excellent with lots of towels, robes and slippers. We visited the leisure centre but did not avail of any of the facilities - it seemed geared for families/kids not for adults looking for a spa experience.
Food was brilliant! On our first night, we dined in the bar as the restaurant was closed. The a la carte menu had broad choice and the Nuremore Platter for 2 to share for a starter was excellent and highly recommended, followed by two excellent steaks cooked to perfection as requested.
We had booked the formal restaurant for the second night but despite considering a very attractive menu, we decided to eat in the bar again such was the quality of food on the first night! The bar area is very relaxing and the overall ambience very much lends itself to having a casual dinner with decent wine and a few drinks to follow - chill out at its best!
The service in the bar and particularly the food server was a credit to the hotel - the lady in question, Brenda, is an excellent ambassador for the hotel, taking a genuine interest in her customers and very helpful in advising what to visit locally etc. She contributes very positively to the overall customer experience and is a real gem!
Reception staff could be a little more friendly to customers, who after all, pay the salaries. Reception is a key moment of truth experience when a customer arrives in an establishment and this was a bit of a let down on our trip to the Nuremore.
Overall, we would return on a value for money package, the food and Brenda's service would deliver our repeat business!

Room Tip: As with any hotel, make sure you dont get a room beside the elevator!
