“Wedding bliss”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

This was the prefect place form my son's wedding reception and marriage. The house has handy access of the M3 motorway system but the rural setting is marvelous. There is a certain shabby chic" about Bellinter - it's a wonderful old country house with a very eclectic feel to it. Our bedroom M3 was fantastic with a lovely view over the Boyne river. Very confortable. The staff were very friendly and all the guests had a hassle free day as the wedding party has the house to ourselves. It was a big day for myself and my wife but Bellinter House made it a great day. Didn't get to use the Spa facilities (looked impressive)so will drop back soon for a lazy midweek break.

Room Tip: the rooms in the main house are magnificant, well worth any extra cost IMO

The highlights of Bellinter House are the bed and its breakfast. We had dinner the previous night and both of us were disapointed with the food served - especially the small sized portions. However, the bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. Nice venue for a night away - maybe dine elsewhere for dinner.

My husband and I spent 3 nights with our 20 month old last week while attending a family wedding locally) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We love Bellinter so are somewhat biased, however, I have to commend everyone for a wonderful job. The place was very clean with lovely little touches and the staff as always were lovely as was the food. For 3 nights stay plus one dinner and other optional extras like room service we added on, our total came to €550, which we had no problem parting with as we felt we got great value with excellent food and service.

We stayed in a similar property in February for one night, the food was a let down and cleanliness left a lot to be desired and we paid only €100 less and left feeling very cheated. Again I would like to thank everyone for a lovely 3 nights and I would highly recommend you spend your hard earned cash in Bellinter as you'll walk away feeling content!

This was my third stay at this hotel and once again it did not dissappoint. Shabby-chic at it's best. Warm welcome and upgraded on arrival to room number 5 in the Ruin, large well appointed room with lots of character, great bed and all the mod cons. Food was once agian excellent and the breakfast spread is always good. Will be back again!!!

Room Tip: Room 5 in the Ruin bigger than pavillion and other Ruin rooms.

Fabulous old house in Navan. Food really tasty. Had treatments in spa as part of deal. One spa staff member quite short with us on arrival but treatments really enjoyable. Dinner menu and drinks selection good. Service from bar and restaurant was very good. Rooms very basic but very clean and comfortable (old world) Would definitely come again!

My husband and I stayed at Bellinter House over St. Patrick's Day weekend. We found our accommodations to be extremely comfortable--especially the super soft and cozy bed and oversized bathrub. It was great to stay someplace so relaxing after a very long flight. Our massages at the Bathouse didn't hurt either!

Of the three places we stayed while we were in Ireland, my husband and I liked Bellinter House the best. The service was friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the atmosphere was cozy, quiet, and relaxing. We highly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Bellinter House for 1 night over St.Patrick's weekend. On arrival we were pleasantly greeted and swiftly checked in. We were booked into one of the Stables' rooms which are just 2 mins from the main reception. These rooms have alot of the original features, such as half doors & wood beams - in the roof, over the main and bathroom door. The furniture is in keeping with the theme and also there were some old style glass jars for tea/coffee. We noticed the room needs a more detailed clean as several cobwebs were clear to be seen. We visited the spa which included a good sized pool, hot sauna, non functioning steamroom & a pleasant outdoor hot tub. In general, this area needs attention. A window in the sauna overlooking the green areas & outdoor hot tub was absolutely filthy - which totally spoiled the view! The sauna itself was dirty and was in need of a sweep & clean. There was also the remains of an afternoon tea at one of the tables by the pool which remained there for at least 2 hrs and a wheel on one of the lounge seats was off - a simple repair job but one that would make a much tidier first impression. The changing areas are small with limited unlockable lockers. The hair dyers are old and should be replaced. We noticed most people went back to their rooms to shower, us included. We dined in the bar area which was lovely, well attended and had a nice relaxing warm atmosphere. Breakfast was great but a little slow. There is a games room with a pool table, dvds, wellies & fishing rods for guest use. The grounds of the hotel are in need of attention, several cars were allowed to park on muddy grass which is a pity. We also noticed an outdoor infinity pool which sadly was never finished. This hotel could be an absolute gem if staff focussed on the neglected areas.
