We tried the Dunderry Lodge at the suggestion of Marc, our B&B host. We are glad we listened to him. We had the fish chowder and shrimp scampi for starters - both were excellent. The duck stir-fry was to die for. A pleasant lounge and excellent service will bring us back the next time we are in Ireland.

We stopped here at the suggestion of the Cranmore house B&B owners. This restaurant is quite a ways off the beaten path which may not be what some are looking for but we considered it a hidden jewel. We were all so pleased with the entire experience and our meals! This was our last night in Ireland and what a delightful treat. I have nothing but praise for the waiting area (very cozy n comfy), the table set up, (very romantic), our service (5 star), our meals (best we had in Ireland). Our granddaughter was a little uncomfortable with the amount of silverware on the table but after a quick lesson she did fine. The food was generous and delish. I plan on going back to Trim in the future and will head back here for a peaceful, relaxing, and satisfying evening.

Our Crannmor B&B hosts suggested the Dunderry Lodge for dinner - the best food so far in Ireland. Lovely atmosphere; drinks by the fire and dinner in a restored hall with stone walls. My husband said his steak was perfectly done and my salmon was also good. We've had seafood chowder as a starter in several places and this was the best

Dunderry Lodge opens at 5:30pm. It is a quaint lodge with a homey sitting area for looking over the menu and relaxing with a drink by the fire. The dinner prices are reasonable and you can get a 2 course meal for under 20 euros. The dinner is more than you can eat, and very good! One thing that was lacking was the bar service. The lady seemed confused & disoriented at times. All and all, it is very nice and we would return to eat there again.
