Def my favourite place to eat in Meath - place is modern and wam.
Staff are always lovely - I've noticed the owner doesn't swan around barking orders - she clears tables - sweeps the floor - which is nice - i've worked for people who thought they were too good for that.
Food is fantastic - the basics are all there - but there are always creative ideas - the black pudding salad is amazing - mouth watering as i'm writing this!
The sirlion is like a fillet it is so tender and juicy. I get the duck from time to time and it is always perfect - not too fatty. The food is never too long comig out - and even when they are busy it never drops in standard.
The desert menu changes - the baked alaska is a favourite. Wine and cocktail menu is varied.
I would suggest booking as there is always a crowd, although if you ring last minute they always try to fit you in - you can sit in a little couch area and look at your menu and have a drink.
Some of the a la carte can be pricey if you are on a budgey - however the early bird is excellent value.
I have gone there for romantic meals and with a group of friends - it is suited to both.
