Had a brilliant stay with my family. The house is stunning .There were 10 of us and more than enough room. The facilities are first class with ample kitchen utensils and cooking facilities.
Only a 10 minute walk from the main square and all down hill.
Would definately stay again.
My family stayed here last weekend for my daddy's 70th birthday. The house looked beautiful online ... but the photos don't even do justice to this absolutely stunning property! There was so much space in the living area, outside areas, bedrooms and bathrooms. The house is beautifully decorated and furniture is modern and comfortable. The views from the balcony were breathtaking! The house was already equipped with all essentials when we arrived and Catriona who manages booking with very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. No complaints whatsoever. Would highly recommend it and will definitely return!
We are just back from a fantastic weekend at Carlingford Heights. The house exceeded all expectations and really was everything that we could have hoped for. There were 9 of is in total, 4 couples and my nephew. We all had our own bedrooms and tonnes of lounging space and seating for evening meals and drinks. (If you are a bigger group there was an additional 5 beds spread across the 5 bedrooms). The house is absolutely beautiful and we will definitely be back. It is most suited to a large family getaway as it is peaceful and finished to a really high standard. Special thanks to Catriona for making us so welcome
Had an absolutely fantastic time in Carlingford heights last weekend. House is fabulous... we were a group of 13 girls and we had everything we would ever have wanted. Views amazing, amenities amazing, underfloor heating amazing. I had seen previous reviews in December about water shortage but when I spoke to Caitriona who managed our booking she told me that a larger tank had now been fitted. All 13 of us had amazingly warm showers one after another within the space of a couple of hours... Caitriona was so helpful I couldn't recommend this property more. Only issue was we all arrive in dark so it was hard to find but once we realised the best thing was to direct people to Harwood heights b&b everything was fine. So a key tip put Harwood Heights b&b in google maps and the house is directly across road you need to drive up a bit to get into car park.
Beautiful property in a stunning location.
No hot water for our stay which on several calls was resolved on check out and no compensation was offered for this which was disappointing.
Otherwise no issues with the property.
10 of us stayed here for a birthday celebration in June. The accommodation was excellent. The rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and we were provided with a brand new bar b questions on the balcony. The view over the town and Carling ford lough was stunning. The walk into the town centre was between 5-10 minutes and down hill so no problem.
The only problems we had were finding the house due to the narrow roads and poor signposting. There was also a minor issue with water supply to our bathroom/shower but as the house is fitted with so many other bathrooms/shower facilities thus wasn't a problem.
In summary, this is a beautiful house in a great location with stunning views and I would recommend it for a family/group looking to stay in Carling ford.
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Catriona and her Mum for the fantastic time myself and a group of friends had in Carlingford Heights. There were eleven of us altogether, and there was ample room. There were three couples in our group, each of them were able to enjoy their own room. The rest of us shared the other bedrooms comfortably, with beds to spare! The kitchen is gorgeous and the living area spacious and comfortable, however all in our group agreed that our favourite part had to be the huge terrace, some of it sheltered from Ireland's unpredictable weather, with an amazing view!
Would just like to say a quick thank you to our hosts for arranging a taxi to our bus terminus in Dundalk from the house with a local driver, it certainly saved us having to drag our luggage down the hill into the village (it's a lovely walk, but not with suitcases!)
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be recommending it to friends and family and hope to return at some stage!
