When travelling on business in this part of the country the car normally does its own thing and we arrive in Carlingford Four Seasons,Service is excellent, food is very good, great nights sleep, great breakfast am I selling u the place? Oh and by the way the village and surrounding area is one that I want to explore with the family but the hotel is always full on weekends. Check out Taffees bar and Barry behind the counter a great barman and I am always made welcome like I am a local-Rebel on Tour.

back to four seasons after 6 months for communion meal, table booked 14 adults 6 children for 3 pm, sevice excellent and staff a credit, so relaxing no other booking for tables which meant time for a catch up without being rushed to organise tabe for another booking. free meal for for that special child, table set up for special cake, and staff checking that all was in order including bringing drinks from the bar. great grounds for young ones to let of steam and keep boredom at bay, booked for wedding next year but will be back during the summer

Fab hotel got married here staff could not have been any more helpful before and on the day of the wedding to myself family and guests. The food was fantastic at the reception and the main meal. The hotel is great for kids too and has a lovely outside garden and patio area, the hotel also has beautiful views on all sides. The rooms were very spacious and very clean.

Booked connecting rooms for family. Rooms fine. Had evening meal included in deal- food awful. Steak looked as if it was just warmed up. Breakfast ok but trays were covered in water- ruined the appetite! Kids enjoyed pool but wouldn't be keen to return. Pity as village is beautuful

I absolutely love this hotel. We stayed there on St. Valentines Day and loved the feel of it. Staff are very friendly, food was wonderful. We loved the room, which had a great view looking over Carlingford Lough and towards the Mourne Mountains.

I can't speak highly enough of the service we received. I'd thoroughly recommend a stay there, especially with the beautiful surroundings.

I stayed here in February with a girlfriend and wasn't impressed, but as a group of 36 staying recently, I thought I'd give the benefit of the doubt, as the manager had reassured me he would oversee things and at the time blamed the squabbling of both chefs for the low standard in the restaurant. Well this visit was even worse. The rooms are very very basic. The food wasn't great. We were seated in a private dining room and expected to be well served. The starters were thrown at everyone having waited 1 and half hours for it, mine - a ricotta and spinach tortellini - stone cold and under cooked. By the time it was served to me and I tasted it - vanish! Not a sign of a waiter anywhere. When the waiter came to collect the plates I explained and that I had no one to discuss it with and he just shrugged his shoulders. My partner and several other guests ordered steak for a main- at a €4 supplement. What arrived was a board of food totally over cooked - he asked for medium rare. Four at my table managed to get hold of a waiter and complained and what came back wasn't any better! We arrived in the room at 8pm and it took three hours to get through three courses. We were all glad to leave the tables. The waiters were well aware of the problems and not one duty manager arrived to check in with our group. The service was appalling and food was more like canteen food. Dreadful experience, won't be recommending this hotel and won't be staying again.
