Despite the relaxed setting in the restaurant, the food quality was top-notch as was the efficiency and friendliness of the staff and owners.

I was a little apprehensive when we bundled into this cosy seafood restaurant with two children - but we were made to feel very welcome. I had the seafood platter which was served with delicious local bread and a lovely salad. My husband had the traditional ham shank, cabbage and mash. The kids shared the ribs. The locals chatted away to us. It was all very pleasant. The couple who own the restaurant -cook and serve - so everything is done with care and attention to detail. You can even buy seafood to go. Well worth a visit next time you are in this charming seaside town.

We were looking forward to our meal as I had read about the restaurant in an old Bridgestone Guide (but should have paid more attention to the fact the last displayed badge was 2009). Unfortunately the meal was really sub-standard. Portion sizes were small-which is fine when the food is good but this wasn't. Would definitely not return.

We love the oystercatcher! Lovely room, super staff, good wine list, the food itself is outstanding, loads of flavour and taste. It's definitely worth a shout in when you are in village. Harry runs a great show.

My wife had the seafood platter and I had salmon. The service was wonderful and the food divine.
Operated by a couple, the lady provides service and the gentleman is a first rate chef. Highly recommend.
