Description: We are a beautiful little personal restaurant right in the center of a Medieval Village called Carlingford. Co. Louth. We provide a wonderful array of beautiful meals... Carlingfords only Michelin rated restaurant. We also have 7 beautiful B & B rooms located on our premises. We serve not only the freshest of produce, fish, meats and everything else on our premises. Our poly tunnel supplies us a lot of the year with fresh herbs, salad leaves from our garden which is also on site. We serve freshly ground coffee and lovely cups of tea in the morning and it is a delight to walk through our little garden on a summers evening. We have 2 private function rooms which can hold up to 40. Christenings, Communions, Birthdays, all occasions, specializing in our service for pre-wedding meals.

“Exquisite food!”
Reviewed July 29, 2011

I bookes this restaurant on the advice of TripAdvisor for my friend Colleen's Hen party and we couldn't have been happier with the service we got! we were taken to a private room for 8 and we were able to enjoy our evening in our own company! A nice touch. The waitress explained that they had 2 rooms available and a party of 15 hens were in the room upstairs.
What can I say about the food... perfection? I had duck samosas to start which were light and crispy. For main I had daube of beef which was melt in the mouth! Dessert was superb. The baba, which was sponge soaked in syrup with pina colada sorbet and sauce was refreshing and fruity and like nothing I have ever tasted. We all took cards and will definately be booking again! Advice... book in advance for weekends as it was busy!

“Excellent food”
Reviewed July 14, 2011

We spent one night at the Belvedere guest house and ate in its restaurant, The Bay Tree. We chose The Bay Tree because of its #1 rating in Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, especially the rump of lamb. Staff friendly and helpful. We asked for an extra towel for the room and were given an armful! We'll be back!

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was yummy and service was discreet. Starters were particularly good. Definitely worth a visit if dining in Carlingford.

“Hen Party Night”
Reviewed June 8, 2011

It was just brilliant - the food was fantastic, we had a private room for about 25 girls so it was ideal for the hen night set up. We were not disturbing the families and romancers in the main restaurant (this is fantastic also.) All the girls loved the meal which was a set menu for the night. Would definintely recommend to anyone

“Highly Recommended Restaurant in Carlingford”
Reviewed May 24, 2011

I booked The Bay Tree for a party of 9 as part of my friend's Hen Weekend.
Conor & Sharon were both extremely helpful with the initial booking of the table. The restaurant itself has a really lovely atmosphere wtih friendly staff and excellent food. As we were a large party we chose from a Set Menu, which was excellent value, and had something for everyone.
I look forward to returning here, and will most definitely be recommending The Bay Tree to my family & friends.
