My boyfriend and I had dinner here for our anniversary. As we were not actually guests at the hotel, we could only order from a set menu, but it was varied and appealing. We were served by two very friendly and attentive waiters, and had 3 courses and tea for €25 each. Everything was absolutely delicious and our main courses came with bowls of vegetables and mashed potatoes, not mentioned on the menu so that was a relief! The only criticism I'd have would be that we didn't enjoy the live music playing, I didn't think it really suited the hotel's environment, but our meal and service were perfect, would recommend the Liberties Bistro to anyone in the area.

We went to dinner there on a saturday evening and we were seated strainght away, brillant service through out the whole meal, and the food was fantastic.
they even wrapped up our desert to take home as we could not even finish it as the dinner was soo good.

really impressed with everything and would recommend to anyone looking good food and good service.

On entering the bar/bistro/restaurant (all in the one room) there was the most awful live music (at least I think it was supposed to be music) The room was virtually empty at 7.30pm on a Sunday evening.(that should have warned us)We stood about waiting to be seated (as per sign) but no one came near us. After we lifted some menus, a waiter eventually came along and we got a table as far away from the 'music' as possible. Our food (chicken/fish) arrived after some delay. To describe it as awful would be an understatement.
We asked to speak to the manager but the foreign waiter and waitress did not understand! Later a woman appeared and her only comment was 'We have not had any complaints before' , then disappeared. There was a long wait for the bill (some confusion as to who was responsible for it) Later the so-called mangeress appeared - no charge for food.
Verdict- worst food and service experienced in the past 5 years.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
