“Perfect Vacation Place”
Reviewed July 23, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The cottage location is wonderful and made for a great place to home base from. We stayed for three weeks and were able to explore a lot of Ireland. Lena made our stay very comfortable and went out of here way to help us with travel questions that we had. Everything felt so warm and inviting. She could not have been a more kind and gracious host. She has been in this business for years and her experience shows. The cottage is perfect for 4 people and has a nice Irish cottage charm about it. It was also equipped with everything that you need. Thank you Lena, for helping to make our stay in Ireland so pleasant! We look forward to returning!

“Traditional values all round”
Reviewed September 2, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We booked our stay at shannon Breeze through Anglers world Holidays. We wanted somewhere that would allow us to take our dog and a great base for travelling around the west coast. Lena, the owner had a wealth of knowledge about the local area and gave us some lovely recommendations for places to visit on top of our own schedule. The accommodation was clean and traditional with the added romance of Peat to burn on the open fire and a welcoming cluck from the chickens in the adjoining farmyard. For anyone wanting to really feel the rural peace and quiet and Irish charm, Shannon Breeze has it all. For any anglers wanting to enjoy a break from sight seeing. Lena's nearby stretches of the shannon and knowledge of the river is priceless. A hidden gem just above Lough Derg. Unforgettable.

“Cute and peaceful cottage with a very nice landlady”

We had a very nice time in Shannon Breeze Traditional Irish Cottage.

We arrived quite late and the cottage was ready for us with a blazing fire, a bottle of wine, and a little note on the door.
The cottage is small but very cosy, so we felt immediaty "at home". The location is very peaceful and a good base for touring the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Bunratty folk park, Galway and the Connemara. Portumna Forest Park and Workhouse are also worth a visit.
Lena is a lovely lady, checking in occasionaly to make sure everything is OK, eager to recommend nice places to visit and even bringing fresh eggs from the farm for a nice Irish breakfast.
Thank you Lena for your nice welcome.

“Wonderful place to enjoy ireland”

We stayed in Shannon Breeze Cottage for two weeks and we really enjoyed it. When we arrived very late in the first night there was everything prepared for our stay and also for the breakfast in the morning. It was a good starting Point to explore the middle of the Island. We have been to Galway, Connemara, Cliffs of Moher, Cork and saw so much more. Also the near area was worth to visit, like the Shannon, Portumna Castle and Forrest Park as well as the Workhouse. After our daily trips we cooked and relaxed on the fireplace or enjoyed the silence and voices of nature. For our breakfast we got always fresh eggs from Lena. Thanx so much for everything, Lena. It was our first time in Ireland and was wonderful.

“Lovely, cosy Irish cottage”
Reviewed June 16, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We spent one night here before the Portumna 50k in the forest park and everything was perfect. The cottage is really cute and cosy and had everything we needed. It was warm so we didn't get to light the fire so will definitely be back : )
Thanks Lena for all your help and for allowing us to use the cottage again after the race before we left. Best Wishes.

We found the place three nights before, we wanted to go somewhere to completely relax, have long walks, eat food and drink a few after a long day of relaxing. On arrival the lady host was amazing, the fire was blazing the wood was piled for the next two days and the cottage, well....amazing, a lovely cosy irish cottage i fell in love with. Our dog took place close to me beside the fire and there we were, two channels on the telly, few board games my thermomix for cooking and good beer. We had a ball. We will be going for very long walks in the morning which are amazing, got back for lunch and got it ready, the kitchen is fully equipped only i love my thermomix so it came with us. We would visit the villsge pub in the afternoon or go somewhere close by, by. Car for a leisurely walk and spent the evening by the roaring fire playing a game of cards and few beers. It was the most relaxed and chilled holiday i could ever remember, it cleansed my soul, lift my spirits and recherged my batteries.

Had a lovely two weeks staying at cummins cottages for some great fishing on the Shannon. Kept baiting and fishing the town stretch and kept catching so no reson to move! Nets every day from 50lb to 117lb from 5-6 hour sessions.
Lena is wonderfully helpful and always around to help and chat and cooks up a great breakfast. The cottages are also well situated for visits to Galway and the cliffs of Moher.
Al in all a fantastic trip, thank you.
