Reviewed August 22, 2013

My daughter and I stayed at Rathview House the last night of our stay. Great place, very clean and comfortable. Nice short walk to town. Sharon was an excellent hostess and we felt very much at home while staying there. We would definitely stay there again the next time we visit Ireland.

My husband and I traveled Ireland in April/May 2013 and stayed at the Rathview House our last evening before returning to the USA. We decided to arrive a day early to catch more of the sites in the greater Dublin area, but there were no vacancies! Sharon, our lovely hostess, promptly got on the phone and found us another B&B close by! What great hospitality! Our stay at Rathview House the following night was just perfect for our last night in Ireland! Sharon welcomed us with tea and lots of information about the surrounding area and perfect directions to the Airport the following morning. In fact, she arose extra early and fixed us breakfast before we had to leave for the Airport. The room was quaint and clean, cozy too. It was very quiet and we had an excellent night's sleep before heading home. I would highly recommend a stay at Rathview House. It was definitely one of the best B&Bs in all of Ireland!!!!!!

Room Tip: We enjoyed staying in a front room. It was close town, easy walking distance.

Stayed here for one night and if I have a gripe it was the room was a tad small and the TV reception was poor. That's the gripes and no big deal as the room itself and the ensuite were immaculately clean and top notch. Better in terms of quality than a lot of so-called 4 star hotels!
The host Sharon was a lovely lady and made us fEel at home. Breakfast was fantastic and a great selection. Everything was cooked to order and not only tasted good but was beautifully presented. For 70 euros in peak season for the two of us it was a snip.
In terms of overall quality seriously some of the 4 star hotels could come and take a tip or two away with them.
Great location as only a 5 min stroll to the Castle and town centre and near public transport routes for Dublin if you don't want to drive in.

Looking for good value for money when staying in Dublin? Look no furthere. I stayed here for the 3rd time, and wasn't disapointed this time either. Host is just great, rooms so clean and cosy, breakfast so good. Place is very near Swords, so it takes about 5 minutes to walk there for shopping or eating. Next time, will stay there again!

We stayed here on our last night in Ireland and chose it because of it's close proximity to the airport. The location was ideal for getting to the airport in the morning! Sharon was very sweet and offered us tea upon our arrival. Because we were so hot (from the surprisingly warm weather) she let us have juice instead. We found our room to be very clean and quite tiny (the two twin beds were on opposite walls with a little walkway between. The bathroom was clean and tiny as well. There were rules posted all around the room, including a fine for leaving trash that didn't fit in the tiny trash can. Having said that, Sharon was a friendly hostess and even offered to have her husband carry our luggage up to the room. She cooked us a delicious breakfast in the morning and sent us on our way. It was a good value for the price and especially worked for as a short stop over before heading to the airport. I would not book more than one night here as we had difficulty even getting in and out of our room with no place to keep our luggage.

My husband and I stayed at the Rathview house this past week not once but twice, our first night in Ireland and our last night in Ireland. We have now been spoiled as this is the quintessential B&B. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The location could'nt have be more convenient, near the airport and with easy access to public transportation. The breakfast served had a gourmet flair and was to die for! Our host, Sharon was charming and accomodating to our every request. Looking forward to our next stay in Ireland and at the Rathview house!

Room Tip: We stayed in two different rooms on our trip both were great!

My Mother and I did a trip to Ireland and Scotland and stayed at Rathview House our first night. I can honestly say that after completing our trip Rathview House set the bar high!! I joked with Sharon about her breakfast being the best Irish breakfast I ever had (at the time it was my first) but can now say with confidence and experience it truly was the best. My Mother and I had a fabulous welcome at this B&B. It was handy to the airport. I would definitely return!! Thank you both for a wonderful stay!!
