This hotel is conveniently located less than a 15 minute, hassle free drive to the airport. Staff were very helpful in printing out directions and in giving us tips to get in to Dublin for a day of sightseeing. They suggested we drive in to the town of Swords where there is cheap, compared to Dublin, parking. (€6 compared to 25). Then you take the Swords Express in to the city. Be warned, that you get the bus back in a different location from where you are let off...it is across the river.
Hotel rooms were neat and clean, maybe a bit sparse in decor. We had dinner there two nights and the early bird special is a good deal. The buffet breakfast is also good and hearty.

We recently held a family celebration at Roganstown, a buffet lunch on a Saturday. I can't say enough nice things about the staff, they bent over backwards to help us in any way they could. One of our friends with 2 children said they had never been anywhere that helped out so much with the kids. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it.

Unfortunately no one in our party was staying in the hotel (as they were completely full, great to see) so I can't comment on that but every aspect of our experience was superb.

Stayed with my family which included a 22 month old. Starting with the positives the rooms were nice and spacious and the food was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we were all awoken up from our sleep at 3:00am by a rowdy bunch of guys who were wandering the hallways going between their rooms and the bar which was still open. The noisy group continued to make noise for 30 - 40 minutes as they tried to coax those of their group who had gone to bed to return to the bar. I had to go and ask the night porter to quieten them down which in fairness he did. However the damage was done at that stage as our baby had been woken up by the considerable amount of noise which was going on in the hall way and adjacent rooms. The hotel might get the bar / night staff to supervise groups who are drinking in the bar late and then wandering the hallways.

There was also no remote control in the room for our tv.

Stayed here in on a sunday night , 2 adults 2 kids and it was a great experience from start to finish , very friendly hotel , comfortable rooms and fantastic leisure facilities . We had a great deal with inter connecting rooms and dinner B & B , the food in the bar was absolutely fantastic , also a very extensive selection of draught beers served . A nice country hotel with no hussle bussle and very safe for the kids to roam about , the Golf Course looks great also though I did not have a chance to play , will definitely stay again

I played here with my local golf society recently. Had played it once before a number of years ago and, although we enjoyed it, we had to stop on the 14th hole because of pouring rain.
This time the weather was much better and, even though we played off the shorter green tees, I really enjoyed the day’s golf as did my playing partners. The reason – well the course offers lots of variety from hole to hole, so you don’t get bored. This helps with the concentration needed to shoot good shots and score well.

There are enough trees and water hazards to make you think your way around but not too difficult for the average handicap golfer. Also on the positive side, the course is generally well manicured, fairways, greens and approaches are well kept and the rough is long enough to punish wayward shots but not too long as to be impossible. There’s also lots of wildlife about.

One minor complaint I had with one hole on the front nine was un-removed grass clippings behind mounding in the rough that made it difficult to find a ball. Hopefully this was a once off, as I didn’t notice this problem elsewhere on the course.

The most difficult hole for me was the par 3 sixth – with water all along the right hand side, trees on the left and no bail-out area – it’s hit the green or you’re out of the hole.

To summarise, this is a good quality course that is generally well maintained, not too expensive and well worth a visit. I scored reasonably well for an infrequent visitor. Now looking forward to my next visit.
