Glenmore House
Reviewed July 17, 2013

Please do not waste your money. Filthy with owners obviously making money and putting nothing back into the place. The balcony's to the front of the house are rotting. Inside we met what seemed to us to be the only member of staff, who did not seem to have any power to do anything except take money. Carpets in the hallway were lifting and could easily cause an accident. The bathroom was DISGUSTING, rotting wood, filthy tiles, manky towels. The wardrobes had obviously had liquid thrown at them at one point and this was never cleaned off. The mattresses had no covers and the sheets were thin and too small. Outside the bedroom window was obviously used as a bin and never cleaned. Breakfast was laid out on a broken table with a bowl of wheatabix ,a bowl of cornflakes, and bread to make toast with. The dining room was filthy... peeling paint, filthy floors. Stay anywhere but here

I stayed at Glenmore House for one night in June 2013. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. Basic room if somewhat cold even though it was a warm summer night. 'The Premier Inn' bus service from the airport that stopped by Glenmore House was very handy for an early morning flight that I had to take. Enjoyed the free coffee in the lounge as well.

We stayed at Glenmore House for a few weeks. It has been a pleasant stay for me and my boyfriend as well for our pet.You can fully relax because is quiet, breakfast is excellent, the rooms are warm, clean and tidy.

Room Tip: The rooms closer to the reception have better wifi.

I've stayed here twice in May 2013. It's very close to the airport and you can get a shuttle for €2 each way.

Pros: very attentive and courteous staff, free wifi (but it doesn't really reach the guest rooms), nice breakfast room and lounge, free instant coffee and tea and biscuits, comfortable bed, quiet.

Cons: the rooms could use some refreshing. Although the bed linens and towels seemed clean and fresh, the carpeting needed replacing due to stains. The bathroom shower was fine, but at some point, some fixtures (perhaps a soap dispenser or something) had been removed, but the holes and hardware were still in the wall.

Overall: this is kinda like staying at a relative's house... The grout in the shower might be a little moldy in places, some general repairs need to be done, but the bed is comfortable and everything seems clean enough. For the price, it's about what I'd expect, and I've had far worse for the same money.

Room Tip: If you want wifi in your room, ask for a room close to the lobby. If you want a quieter room, Room 9...

I stayed at Glenmore House for 2 nights in May 2013. This is a basic guesthouse in 5 min drive from Dublin Airport.

Pros:
- The house offers en-suite rooms.
- Many tourist materials.
- Basic breakfast included in the room rate.
- Price was 45 Eu for a single room.
- Free wi-fi.
- Hopper bus/ 2 Eu one way trip.
- Public buses from the house to the city center.
- Very friendly staff.

Cons:
- VERY NOISY, you hear noise from the other guests - from their rooms and from the lobby, especially at night time.
- Minimal furniture.
- It was cold in the room.
- The shuttle bus operates every 30 min from about 4 am till 10.30 pm. That's all. If you miss the shuttle from the airport to the house at 10.30 pm, be ready to pay about 10 Eu for a 3 min taxi drive.

Advice:
In fact the Hopper Bus doesn't belong to Glenmore House. This is a shuttle bus which belongs to Premier Inn Hotel. As I said, it operates from about 4 am till 10.30 pm (from the airport - the last one is at 10.30 pm). At the airport you need to go to the parking place number 14. This is a big parking for 15 or more coaches, 5 - 7 min walk from Terminals 1 or 2. Hopper bus is a double decker bus with a violet sign "Premier Inn" on the front window.

I stayed here 15/4/13 for one night..Staff very friendly & efficient.Ideally situated to the local Airport. But unfortunately that's it!! My room was dirty, too hot, noisy, paint work peeling off the ceiling, furnishings were tired & damaged,my mattress was smelly! After a very fitfull sleep,I woke with a shortness of breath, this I think was a result of the dust in the stuffy room.It was my first time staying here & my last... I do not like leaving bad reviews but I tell it like it is .

Room Tip: I stayed on the first floor, over the reception area,so may be the ground floor rooms are better ??

Is is a hostel? Is it a hotel? It's hard to tell. Some guests brought in their own food and ate in the dining room. The kitchen closes at 9 p.m. and guests are asked to wash up after themselves. Yet most guests partake of the full breakfast, which is quite good, served from 7 to 10 a.m. and the tables are bused by the help. The morning staff is warm, friendly and hard-working and saved us from changing rooms when we decided to stay an additional night. The furnishings, such as the carpet and interior paint, shows much wear and tear. Ants crawled over the toilet floor just off the lobby and the tile floor in our bathroom needs to be scrubbed with a hard brush or regrouted because the dirt is thick. The location is five minutes from the airport, making it easy to dash to any flight, especially one at o'dark thirty. Great value, too, as discovered by young people traveling as a group and families.

Room Tip: Room #21 has a double and two singles, perfect for a couple with two teens.
