We spent our last night here and found the hosts to be top notch. We arrived early and they allowed us to leave our luggage there. Bernadette and her husband Andrew went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. The rooms were beautifully decorated. Breakfast was outstanding. (lots of choices) They encouraged us to visit Howth and Malahide (thank you as we loved both cities.) We had fresh seafood in Howth and enjoyed watching the seals- they even posed for pictures. Bernadette gave us great tips on spending our last evening at the local pub in Swords. We loved listening to the locals sing and play Irish music. Bernadette even made sure we knew exactly how to get to the airport to return our car with ease. You couldnt ask for better hosts

Room Tip: We stayed in the front of the cottage and experienced no noise.

My husband and I finished up a 3 week tour of Ireland at Abbeyglen Cottage, wanting to be close to the airport and also spend a day touring Dublin. Unfortunately, I got sick (stomach flu) the day we arrived there and I couldn't have asked for a better place to be so ill away from home. The room was nicely furnished and comfortable but the most important thing was how kind and helpful Bernadette and Andrew were in helping my husband deal with my illness. They have a friend who is a doctor who will come to Abbeyglen if needed. Fortunately, I improved enough not to need that. Bernadette checked on me when my husband went out to get some dinner and fixed me gluten free toast in the evening. I can't say enough about their kindness and hospitality. It is also 5 minutes from the airport and Swords has numerous eating and shopping possibilities. We didn't get to experience it but I understand Abbeyglen is also very close to bus transportation into Dublin.

My husband and I stayed at Abbeyglen in early July this year and had a great experience! The B&B was cute, clean, and very up to date. It's a 4 star B&B but couldn't get any better! Breakfast is made to order and there are plenty of choices. Most bed and breakfasts, this one included, had gluten free bread. The hosts were wonderful. They were very accommodating and informative. They gave us a map of Dublin and suggested the best route in and out of the city. It's a nightmare trying to drive in Dublin so don't even bother! Public transport will take you into the city in 20-25 mins from Swords for only 4 euro each. Would definitely stay here again!

Abbeyglen Cottage is a very nice bed and breakfast, with small but very clean and nicely furnished rooms, which even included towel warmers in the bathrooms. Although the rooms seemed small, it may be unfair to compare the room sizes with other bed and breakfasts, because this was the only bed and breakfast in which we did not stay in a triple or family room. The owners, Bernadette and Antoinne, were very welcoming and helpful. The bed and breakfast is located close to a stop for an express bus to Dublin, approximately a 20 minute ride. Bernadette gave us a map of Dublin and explained in great detail how and where to catch buses to Dublin and for the return to Abbeyglen. Breakfast--which included fresh fruit, yogurt, homemade bread and cookies, and a prepared to order cheese omelette--was delicious and was presented with elegance. This bed and breakfast was a 5 star experience. Thank you, Bernadette and Antoinne, for an enjoyable stay!

My wife and I traveled with another couple and celebrated our 40th anniversary during our trip. Please read Jan T's, "Deserves 5 stars," review that describes our experience. It really was one of the best rooms and the cleanest, friendliest B& B of our trip.

After driving for two weeks and staying at eight B&Bs, we hit the jackpot on our last night in Ireland. We chose Abbeyglen Cottage due to its close location to the airport. The hosts were very gracious and we were greeted with juice and almond bars. Upon hearing that the trip was a celebration of a 40th wedding anniversary, Bailey's Irish Cream was brought to our rooms. Andrew gave us several suggestions for dinner. We chose to eat at Old Bolo and it was a great choice.

We wish we could have stayed for breakfast, but we chose to leave early for an 11:25 am flight to the U.S. Andrew thought we could have left later, but it was a good thing we didn't wait. We had ample time (but not too much) to go through TSA (twice!) and Customs, plus deal with VAT refunds. It was nice to have a breakfast prepared for us and left in our rooms the night before.

Overall, we appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms, fantastic bathrooms, and Bernadette and Andrew's hospitality!

We stayed here in June for a single night only and enjoyed our stay very much. Bernadette and Andrew are wonderful hosts, the minute we met them we felt welcome in their home. Breakfast was delicious, and probably the best breakfast we had in Ireland. This B&B is a gem and truly better than any hotel. Next time we come to Ireland, we would like to stay here again. The rooms are lovely decorated and everything is brand new and quiet. The location is convenient especially if you want to enjoy a pub in Swords, if you want to explore Dublin or if you have to catch a flight. Bernadette gave us great recommendations for restaurants and pubs and we had a lovely last day in Ireland. Thank you for your hospitality! K&M
