“A great place for a Guiness and a fine meal”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

My parents met on the small bridge next to the fleet inn 65+ years ago (My mom worked there when it was a hotel). 5 Kids, 14 grandkids, and 6 great grand kids later, its still a wonderful place
This was the first time I had been there.

“Great meal above local pub”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

An excellent and good value meal in very pleasant surroundings in the busy fishing port of Killybegs. The surf and turf with half a lobster was outstanding.Excellent and friendly service too.

“Good Chowder”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

Ate in the bar at lunch time. Chowder was good. Accompanied by a small slice of home made bread. Is there a bread shortage in Donegal?? We were there for a weekend break and ate in 3 places and there seemed to be a shortage of bread in each of them!

The next time we're in town we will try the restaurant here.

“Lovely spot”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Had dinner this Friday with 11 people, it was originally booked for 9 and they accommodated us no problem when we turned up with a different amount of people. Some of us had the set meal 59 for 2 people and others went with the A la Carte option. Everyone enjoyed their choices, I choose the 8oz steak and it was cooked to perfection. The veg where cooked beautifully and 2 choices of potatoes. I cannot eat gluten and my only request would be for more options on that front, but had this not been a problem I could have had one of the 5 deserts, my friends did have them and all said they were fabulous. The house wine was lovely also, its a pity they didn't sell it downstairs in the bar as it would have been nice to stick with the same brand name all night. The bartender downstairs was very friendly and accommodating, I couldn't speak highly enough of him.
