We are a family of four, two parents and two adult children, and our rooms at Drumbeagh House were ideal for our needs: clean, spacious, and comfortable. Phil and Tom are wonderful hosts: very warm, friendly, and helpful. Killybegs is in an ideal location for touring southwest Donegal, an area I remembered with great fondness from my first visit in 1975. This part of Ireland is off the usual tourist track but shouldn't be. We were fortunate to attend a concert of traditional music in the town hall of Kilcar, in the Gaelteacht, which was a highlight of our trip. We were the only tourists, and the only refreshments were tea, coffee, and biscuits, but the quality of the music was vastly superior to anything you could hear in a pub or commercial hotel. Donegal is beautiful and even the cold, lashing rain could not detract from the glorious views of Slieve League and the mountains.

Our stay at the Drumbeagh House was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. The accommodations are very nice, but the exceptional service and breakfast are what will draw us back. It has been a few months since we stayed and I am still craving another serving of the smoked salmon.

During our 4 days in Donegal region we enjoyed very much the full service of Drumbeaghs including fantastic breakfast, support for maintenance at our car and giving many recommendations for activities in the region!

Wonderful hosts, very restful, warm and welcoming place to stay. Lovely view of the surrounding area. Deliscious smoked salmon breakfast and nice conversations with the hosts who are very knowledgeable about the area. Because of Tom and Philomina's excellent local recommendation, we had our best ever dinner in Ireland while here, and we have eaten in enough places from Kilkenny, Cork, Kinsale, Clifden, and Dublin. An evening of traditional music in a nearby village added authentic Donegal touch to our dream vacation in Ireland. A perfect base for exploring Donegal, including, of course, Slieve League. Thank you, Tom and Philomina, we wish you all the best and we look forward for another visit.
