We booked the "Black and Blue" tour in Iceland and were picked up at our hotel promptly. Unfortunately due to the weather, the caves were unreachable due to the snow and ice but not only were we given a full refund for this part of the tour, the guide took us round the national park for free while we were waiting for the snorkelling. He was very informative and we managed to get some great pics of Iceland in winter. All equipment supplied fitted perfectly and we were constantly reassured about the experience of snorkelling in near freezing water! Needless to say, we were warm in our suits and the underwater landscape is remarkable. It's very surreal as when I lifted my head above the water, I was greeted with snowy moutains! The water is crystal clear and the trip was a very worthwhile experience, made even better by the snow which was a couple of feet deep in places. The trip ended with a small cliff jump which is very refreshing! You'll find out why!

So, a great day out and one I won't forget!

We were in Iceland for a week where we did a wide variety of tours - snowmobiling, glacier hiking, ice climbing, blue lagoon, horse riding. This was our favourite tour. I was initially hesitant to go on the tour, as I cannot swim well and have never been snorkelling, also it had been quite cold. However its exactly as what other reviewers have said. The dry suit keeps you completely dry, and you dont feel the cold at all - apart from your hands - which is normal and not unbearable (despite the water being 1 degree). Its like being in a life jacket, the dry suit keeps you completely afloat. The views are absolutely incredible and out of this world, which far exceeded my expectations. Even though it was rainy visibility was still 100m.

The best part of the tour is the guide. Unlike another tour company before us which had 10 people to a guide, we were a group of 4 which made me feel very safe. Our guide, Kevin was always close by and kept reassuring me as I was initially very nervous. Having used 2 other tour companies in Iceland (both in small groups via super jeeps), this was definitely the best company I used.

The ride there and back was also enjoyable, thanks to Kevin. I highly recommend Dive.IS as you get very personal and prompt responses from them even from the outset when arranging a tour via email, to the actual tour where you feel safe and reassured which takes the worrying away and thus allowing you to enjoy the tour.

We did the Black & Blue tour and snorkeling at Silfra was unlike any other experience we have had. It's so shocking- it looks like a normal lake nothing special. Then we put on our teddy bear, then dry suits and got in (it's a little chilly). Once you look down you can see for days- the clarity is just crazy. Apparently the water comes from a glacier then is filtered through a volcano. It was just such an experience to snorkel where the tectonic plates meet or are un-meeting.

No photos to post- haven't developed our old school under water camera. looks exactly like the surreal photos you find on the internet.

We did a morning snorkeling trip with Dive.is, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. In total, there were 10 divers in our group and 5 snorkelers. They broke it down into small groups, so there were only a few people per instructor, which was nice. Our instructor, Erica, was great. We suited up in drysuits, which were a bit of challenge to get on and off, then snorkeled for about 30-35 minutes. The drysuit keeps you warm, but the only places you might feel a chill are your hands or around your mouth.

The water is so pure and clear. They encourage to drink it, because it's glacial water filtered through lava rocks. How often can you drink the water you snorkel in?! The visibility is excellent and you get to see some cool rocky landscapes, bright green algae and the sun streaming through the water. Plus you can walk around Thingvellir when you're done. Highly recommended!

Some of the most beautiful colours you'll ever see. You'll get to swim/dive through beautiful, (really tasty) clear water see strangely colourful algae and all sorts of jagged rock formations. Make sure you take a minute or two off and hang out in "The Cathedral".

You'll also love the folks that do the tour. A.J., Hanna, and Erika are _excellent_ and great company!
