“Just so so at the end of March”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

We were here at the end of March and since the water was still frozen and the colors around the crater hadn't really started to come out yet, it wasn't something that I would say is a stop that must be made. After seeing other pictures, I know this would be more enjoyable at a different time of year. We got there, walked around a bit, but there was only one other couple there, so it certainly doesn't attract the crowd that the rest of the stops of the Golden Circle attracts.

“Worth stopping at on the Golden Circle”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

Glad we stopped at the Kerid crater on our tour of the Golden Circle. It's right by the side of the road. We didn't see all the colours in many of the photos as there was plenty of snow - and the water at the bottom was frozen. We were able to walk around the rim. Even though there is an office for payment of an attraction fee - there was a sign saying FREE on the day we visited :)

“worth of stop when driving the Golden Circle”
Reviewed March 26, 2014

Our hotel recommended that we stop at the crater as a part of our Golden Circle tour. It's absolutely worth it. It only takes a few minutes - it's right on the road and the path from the parking lot is very short. It's dramatic and different from everything else we saw on the Golden Circle. There is a very small entrance fee, although the kiosk was closed when we arrived and there was not an after hours box to leave money. We would have gladly paid.

“Great Stop Not on Most Golden Circle Tours”
Reviewed March 22, 2014 via mobile

Visited as part of our own Golden Circle tour in our rental car, which I recommend as all the stops are very easy to find and you can actually add more on which some tours miss off. The colours are so vivid here with many different colour rocks mixed with the blue of the frozen water. Made more wonderful by snow that just came out of nowhere.

“Beautiful shaped crater”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

We liked the view from the crater, both over the crater and the surroundings. Unfortunately it was March, there was some snow, so we couldn't appreciate the colours of the water and the land.
