I couldn't speak highly enough of the owners of this guest house. They were super friendly and gave us great advice on where to visit on our travels. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We loved the location because it was easy to find and a short drive to town for dinner plus quiet enough as it was in a rural location so we could enjoy a peaceful relaxing stay. The hot tub was great, fabulous to be in at night whilst gazing up at the stars! The beds are comfortable and bathroom clean and modern. It is handy if you have a few days to see Iceland as it is nice to get out of Reykjavik and it is close to the Golden Circle and other sights, although seek the owners advice as there are some lovely things which aren't necessarily on the tourist trail. I would recommend having a car for this Guesthouse though, which is the best way to see Iceland anyway. Fabulous stay, would highly recommend.

This guesthouse is firstly very convenient because of its situation in the Golden Circle.

We loved the setting, right in the middle of the fields, when I pull out the curtain first thing in the morning a rabbit was staring... Lambs are in the adjacent field and are rather friendly.
Horses a bit further down. Ducks are all over... So it is a genuine icelandic farm but with all the comforts of a first class hotel.

We loved the setting of the rooms... So simple yet so classy... The special touch was the old photography prints on the walls that bring you back in time to farm life half a century ago... Showers very modern and overall immaculate. Great and fast wifi connection. Tea and coffee available in breakfast room. There was also a geotermal hot tub outside for use of guests.

Breakfast was delicious. Apart from usual icelandic spread there was some delicacies like feta cheese, sun dried tomatoes or waffle home made mixture so you can do your own... Great displays of teas, available any time.

To make it all perfect, the hosts are very friendly and eager to give you advise on any topic regarding your trip. It was a great help planning the next couple of days according to our interests.

For us this guesthouse was the perfect blend of comfort, hospitality and location. A great find.

Room Tip: All rooms are exactly the same.

The best guesthouse we had in Iceland. Clean and new. Home-made waffles with own farm ingredients and nice breakfast. Perfect bathroom. The hotel is in the middle of the farm with rabbits and ducks around... The owner gives good advice and is always attentive to you.

We will definitely try to come back and advice you to come here

We stayed one night beginning of September, couldn't ask for more of a farm stay in Selfoss. We called late in the evening without a reservation, and in the time it took us to drive the 8km from downtown Selfoss the hosts had our room for three ready and were waiting for us as we drove up. In the morning our daughter loved feeding the ducklings (with bread provided by the host) and seeing the chickens and sheep.

The room with private bath was spotlessly clean, pleasant and had a lovely view of cow pastures and mountains. For breakfast we made our own waffles in the press and enjoyed yogurt, bread, cereal and cold cuts.

The hosts of this small guesthouse went out of their way to make us feel welcome and offered advice on where to go on our last night in the country. We wish them luck with their new place. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Got booked to this guesthouse by another guesthouse that had an overbooking - so glad that happened!! This is by far the best guesthouse experience during our 9 days in South Iceland. We arrived pretty late that night but were welcomed warmly by the owners who really made us feel at home and took the time to give us thoughtful recommendations on our itinerary the next day. Brand new and clean rooms with nice private bathroom, relaxing hot tub outside - perfect after a long day. Great breakfast buffet with homemade waffle mix. Overall really good value and highly recommended as a base for the Golden Circle or as a stop along Ring Road drive.

This farm guest house opened May 2012. The location is great for touring the "golden circle" and the rugged highlands. The owners are super nice and rxtremely helpful. They compiled a brochure with suggested day trips. There is something for everyone: the famous sights at Geysir and Gullfoss and 4X4 tours of the highlands. We chose the latter, and the owner sat down with me and marked salient features on the map. After a full day of touring we relaxed in the hot pot (the local nomenclature for hot tub) and the kids communed with the farm animals: horses, geese, chickens and rabbits.
