The Hotel Ork (pronounced more like "Urk") has comfortable rooms, but they do not provide coffee or tea making facilities. There is under floor heating (geothermally powered), that is kept at a decent level.
The breakfast is relatively plain, but does include home made jams and marmalades for the toast.
WiFi is free in the rooms, but sometimes drops out. It seems much faster and consistent in the lobby and restaurant.
The restaurant provides good quality food (at a fair price for Iceland), including a different, good quality vegetarian meal each day.
If you've hired a car, then you should be aware that they have a sizeable, free car park.
The water slide is normally kept off, but will be switched on at a request to the staff. Apparently this policy is to save water and energy.
The hotel is a short work from the geothermal park, and other local attractions, but be aware than most of these are closed from the end of September until May.More
