The sulphur ours smell can be a bit strong sometimes, but seeing the steam blow out is quite the amazing sight! Well worth viewing.

This place was easy to get to, parking right off the road and something I've never seen before. You can get up close in personal with the steam coming from the ground. You can spend lots of time walking all around the grounds, but we really only needed 15 minutes to walk around and take a few pictures.

Was blessed with a sunny weather, got to see this place for 30 minutes and it was incredible!
You can already smell the 'rotten egg' on the car it was very strong, but when you see the mud pot and vents... The smell is nothing!

This place was the most impressive spot we have visited in Iceland... Since that visit, I feel like "surreal" is a word created to define this place.... Boiling muds, a weird smell around, steam coming out from mountains, grey and brown everywhere.... It definitely does not feel like an earthly experience...I have never seen a place like that and I was very very impressed... Without seeing this place, an Iceland tour will never be complete. As for logistics: there are no toilets, no coffee shops, no souvenir shops at this place, it's just nature at its true raw power here... so, be ready for that...

Mud bubbling out of the ground. Steam vents. This is a very unique experience and well worth it. Close to the ring road and free, so its easy.
