After a day of hiking and exploring Iceland, we wanted to have a nice swim in a hot pool. This place is very nice, and since we got there at 22:30u, the pool was almost empty. We had a nice swim, temperature was 34°c, so not that warm. But we got a 10% discount, because the water should normaly be warmer. There is a hot tub and 2 sauna's. There is a smell to the place, but you'll get used to that very fast. It has something to do with geothermal activity.
I would recommend this place! Especially late at night, when there aren't a lot of people!

Lots of room, not too crowded and reasonably priced - beer was also reasonable (and quick). Couldn't see paying over $100 for The Blue Lagoon since we were doing the Ring Road and would be near here, especially at less than half the price.

We visited the Myvatn nature Baths rather than the touristy, expensive, overcrowded Blue Lagoon.
What a good decision! The baths weren't overcrowded, the water was a perfect temperature and the views were excellent. Well worth a visit if you are planning to go to the Myvatn area.

We had been told by various tourists around the ring road that this was not to be missed and was less crowded than the blue lagoon. I think it is less expensive as well. The parking lot looked like it would be crowded but it was not. There was plenty of room to move around to different temperature zones and the edge seems like an infinity pool with views of the mountains and lake myvatn. The changing rooms were wet and many foreign travelers were not respecting the Icelandic guidelines for hot pool use and showers. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Much hotter too! had a great experience here - spacious pools and found it to be much warmer. Change rooms were a bit crowded and cramped but we survived.
