We stayed here for only one night altough we wished to stay more.
The room was spacious and very clean, with AC and an amazing balcony (quite big) with a great view to the Meteora complex of rocks...simply amazing view.
The host was very very nice and friendly, made us some free sandwiches before our departure and took us for free to the train station.
Very good prices at their tavern downstairs (for example we ate for 5 euros per person wich included a sandwich, a spanakopita, a pie with cinnamon, water, tea and coffee and more than just a cup).
And the little town of Kastraki is beautiful and cosy, we loved it.
And also it's very near to the meteora complex, you can really walk to the first monastery (St. Nicholas), but the rest you should go with a car.
The bus that goes to monasteries stops 10-20 meters in front of the guesthouse.

Stayed in kalambaka at the lithos guest house for an overnight stay to see the monasteries. Natalie showed us to our room which was simple clean and with a huge balcony overlooking the town and meteora. We unpacked and went for a drive with the aid of a map given to us from Natalie. Managed to visit 2 monasteries before closing then headed. Ack to the guest house. Decided to have a wander around the village and walk up a few paths leading up to the monasteries before heading back again to the guest house. Because the reviews for eating at lithos were so good we decided to stay there for our meal. We were the only ones there for a while sort from Natalie's husband and friends. Had a wonderful conversation with him about a rather large snake that his friend had killed near to his chickens. Such lovely people and so welcoming and friendly.had a tasty meal of mixed grill and lamb chops followed by a complimentary ice cream and cake . Local wine was very tasty as was the brandy and coffees.
Natalie continued talking with us , she is so knowledgeable and an interesting person totalkeuth. Had a really lovely evening. The bed was really comfortable and slept through until morning . Breakfast was cheese and ham toast with bread and honey , hams yoghurt and a lovely custard cte pie. Plenty of coffee and a further interesting chat. Wouldhighlytrcommrnd Lithos guesthouse to everyone! Perfect stay and beautiful place to be. Intend on visiting for longer next time. Thankyou natalie and husband(didn't get your name but might be George ?)perfect stay

Cost €40 for room, no breakfast. Reasonable price.

Basic but very clean and good sized rooms. Tiled floors. Basic toiletries but no hairdryer in bathroom. Think you can request one but I didn't need to use.

Air con worked well.

Free WiFi worked fine.

Right in middle of Kastraki town in great location. Walking distance to all good restaurants and to paths that lead you up to monasteries.

We had two rooms on 1st floor; ours was first door on left, friends was first door on right. A communal kitchen was just behind theirs, across from ours. We met some other Aussies who were in room behind ours (so second door on left after coming from stairs). All had balconies with views of Meteora rocks.

The Aussies we met had added several days to their stay as they loved it so much. They said the food at the restaurant downstairs was really good. We only had two nights and both we ate elsewhere but not for any reason against the guesthouse (more because we were out and about and weren't there at meal times).

The lady who runs this guesthouse is very helpful. There are also big signs just a few metres up from the guesthouse at the main square corner that show you where all the monasteries, eateries, etc are. Great idea Kastraki town! There is a small supermarket type shop just up around the corner and all the highest rated restaurants on trip advisor are within spitting distance.

We had a rental car and were able to park for free directly in front of the guesthouse. All very easy and laid back here.

We would stay here again if back at Meteora (which we'd hope to be one day as it is FABULOUS; a stunning area that deserves a lot more time than we were able to give it with only having one afternoon and one day - but we made the absolute most of the time we had). Kastraki is a lovely little village to amble around and we are pleased we picked it over the larger and more commercial Kalambaka (although we did have wander here as well and it is a nice enough place too).

Room tip: Both our rooms on 1st floor were clean, large and functional with views from balconies.

Couldn`t have picked a better spot, view from our balcony was amazing. Room was absolutely fine for three of us. The owners are wonderful. Breakfast huge and delicious, it just kept on coming, we were given our leftover spinach pie plus some for lunch, we were heading up to the monasteries which was something else! Fantastic views, just unbelievable. We ate here both nights as it was so enjoyable why go anywhere else! Would definitely stay here again if I return, a bit of a drive but you won`t be disappointed.

This is a fantastic guest house, very clean, amazing views and wonderful owners. Couldn't be better situated to see the monasteries. The breakfast was unbelievable with Cheese Pie, Toast, Jams etc., yoghurt fruit, honey, galactobouriko, it was really beyond amazing. The owner gave us what was left with us along with extra spinach pie for lunch. She did this both days we were there and asked if there was anything else that we would prefer for breakfast. It was so good there we stayed and ate both evenings. Grilled feta, fried aubergine, souvlaki X 2 people, moussaka, large bottle of water, 1 bottle beer, 1 litre of wine €42. Fresh fruit and halva from the house. Best mousaka ever, my friend wanted to lick her plate and still goes on about it. I had the spaghetti bolognaise on our first night and it was wonderful

Not big selection on the menu but doesn't matter everything was great, we ate there both nights. Inexpensive

Room tip: Ask for a Meteora View
