This is our second visit to Kalavrita, but first time at this hotel. It definately will not be our last!! The rooms, the view and the whole environment have that Wow Factor that you rarely get from a hotel in Greece. This has been my most comfortable stay in any hotel, any where and is certainly value for money. I highly recommend a stay here, it's simply amazing!!

Drove to Kalavryta from Patras and did a lot of the route on the Motorway which was a lot quicker and it was not too busy. Hubby tried to turn off at first sign for Kalavryta, but it was the 2nd one according to Google maps we took with us and it must have been the right one as I remembered it from the last time we were here. Stayed in a different place this time, and it took us a while walking around trying to find it, as it's just on the outskirts, but it is just lovely walking around Kalavryta as it has a lovely friendly feel to it, the sun helps of course and there was a market in the street which was nice to see. It turned out that our Hotel was just opposite the petrol station we had stopped at on the way in and had admired the building and not realised it was our Hotel!! and there was a helpful "Hotel Finder" board on the front down by the Train Station. We did the train trip the last time we stayed, so did not bother this time, but really good to do, but give yourself time at the other end, before you have to come back. Place was just stunning and had everything we needed for a chilled out last day to our trip. I did find myself wishing i'd left Patra a day early to come here, but it had all been paid for, otherwise I would have done. Can't wait to come back here and possibly do a 3 night stop or longer. George recommended a restaurant called Spiritos which was superb, there's an amazing cake shop here aswell, shops are lovely, place is chilled out. The town and Restaurants were just a 3/5 minute walk from the Hotel, and Breakfast was Amazing. Would probably pick a 2 storey Maisonette next time just to get a private balcony, but we did sit out the front of our room anyway. Only slight issues were the glass part of the front door, which let the light in, which is why we might choose a maisonette next time as they looked like they had a different door and my pet hate of the huge hairdryer that does nothing which was also stuck with cellotape, so did even less, but i'll forgive them here as the rest was just perfect. Thanx George was making us feel so welcome. We will be back. Good tip!! Staying here at the end means you only have a 2 and a half hour trip back to Athens for your flight back, and if flight is on Sunday roads are a lot quieter.

A real gem in Kalavrita. Situated at the edge of the town and only 5 minutes from the train station (perfect if you want to see Diakofto-Kalavrita railway). Although standing right next to the road (or rather above it), it was very quiet and a having a wonderful view of the countryside. The whole hotel consists of several independent houses with huge rooms, newly furnished and nicely decorated with a little kitchenet. The bed was very comfortable and breakfest was wonderful with various kinds of pastry and lokal stuff despite us being the only guests. I must thank again to George for his recommendations and the goodbye present. It was lovely stay and we would love to come again.
