It was a nice experience at this hotel. The Christmas brunch was great. The history tour was also very interesting and my mom and I loved learning about it. I also enjoyed just sitting by the fireplace and eating at the Pizza place on the 4th floor over looking Eureka Springs.

Thank you for taking the time to visit us over the holidays! Winter is a great time to visit Eureka Springs and the Crescent in particular. We are always happy to share our history, as well as our award winning pizza (which can be enjoyed along with the best view in town from the Skybar Pizzeria). Thank you for sharing your experience and we hope to see you again!

Had a great time on the ghost tour and the staff was wonderful and knowledgeable about the hotel. Room had a slant which I found uncomfortable but the hotel is historic and worth the visit. Take the ghost tour.

Thank you for sharing your opinion regarding your previous stay! Our staff loves sharing our unique history with anyone who walks through our doors, and doubly so on the ghost tour. Some of our rooms definitely have unique features due to the historic nature of the property, and we feel it adds to the charm we are so very fond of. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to improve your trip, and we hope you give us many more in the future!

This was supposed to be a very special stay at the Crescent. But, the three rooms that we were shown were dirty, and in disrepair. Many dead bugs in bathroom, hair (from previous guest) found in jacuzzi tub and shower, torn wallpaper, dirty vents, stained ceiling in bathroom, excessively worn chair, rooms were poorly cleaned/maintained. We were woken fairly late by staff throwing recycling/glass bottles in trash can under our window, then awakened at 7:00 am by trash truck picking up trash. Really??? After seeing the condition of the first room, my wife and I returned to the front desk to share our shock and displeasure of our room. The individual at the desks reply was, "do you want to stay at a historic site or a new one?" I replied that we had planned on staying at a "clean and well maintained"historic hotel! My wife and I settled on the 3rd room we were shown (which was supposed to be an upgrade), because it was our Anniversay and we had looked forward to staying at the Crescent for a very long time. In retrospect, this was a mistake, we should have cancelled our reservation and stayed somewhere else!

Thank you for your review of the 1886 Crescent Hotel. I would like to apologize for your experience while staying with us. We are in fact a historic property, and because of this cleanliness is paramount. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service, and obviously these standards were not met during your stay. I will personally be addressing each issue mentioned above with the appropriate staff members. Frankly, this is not the way in which we do business, and we would love to be given the opportunity to remedy the substandard impression you were left with. If you have an opportunity to reach out, please don't hesitate to do so (I am the front desk manager here at the Crescent). If given the opportunity to make it right I guarantee we will deliver. Thank you for staying with us and thank you again for taking the time to share your opinions. Have a good day!

We enjoy stepping back in time while at The Crescent. It was wonderful to share our holiday with so many like-minded people. We listened to Christmas Carols, took pictures while hoping for a Christmas spirit to appear, ate, rested and communed with nature.
we would like to make The Crescent our own personal Christmas tradition.

This is a neat old hotel. We had a long check in as the desk didn't have our room key and had to make one as I'm told if I do not turn in he key it's a $50 fine. The room was clean. The faucet at the sink is too small to wash hands properly. No way to regulate the heat and the heat source was terribly noisy---all night. Hotel ice machine broken, no coffee at breakfast( omelette was good), our room TV didn't work properly-addressed it once but I didn't call the second time, no hot shower to be had, it was slightly warm on a cold day.
Our friends had the same experience.
Hotel was nice to give up a late check out and the staff was nice.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us! I would like to personally apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay. Because we use real keys in lieu of key cards to help preserve the authentic experience, we've had issues with guests keeping keys as souvenirs. We wouldn't mind at all if it wasn't a security issue, as previous guests would have access to rooms they no longer occupy. When keys are kept we must re-key the lock in question, and it's probably a safe assumption that that was what had happened in your situation. Because of the age of the hotel we are constantly struggling to keep all of our equipment and the building itself up to date while still preserving the historical integrity. I will be addressing each issue mentioned above with the appropriate staff so as to remedy each one in a timely manner. Thank you for your kind words regarding the staff, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to accommodate you!
