This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The ghost tour is pretty fun for families. The staff is wonderful, everyone was extremely friendly and made me not want to leave. It's expensive, but if you're willing to pay, you won't be disappointed!
(Try to avoid staying on the weekends if you want to swim- lots of weddings has had the pool closed every time we've gone.)

The beauty of the gardens, the mountains and the wonderful rooms make this hotel one of the most unique I have ever stayed in. The possibility of running into a ghost or two makes the stay an adventure as well.

Room Tip: King Suite always wonderful

I last visited with my wife in August 2013, and we stayed in a corner room on the 2nd floor with a balcony and king bed. The room very high ceilings, wrap around windows, huge doors going to the balcony (both windows and doors were almost floor to ceiling), a nice looking, non-functional fireplace, and was just a fun and unique experience. Now, admittedly, I am a little biased concerning the Crescent. My family is from Eureka Springs and my grandfather worked as a driver for the hotel when he was younger. If you are going to stay here, you have to realize that this is quite an old hotel and these older structures require constant maintenance to keep up. For example, the doors going out to the balcony were not the easiest to open as they were wood and wood tends to expand. The bathroom was nice, but the showers didn't have much pressure and the hot water came and went. :) But, to me that was part of the charm of the place. If you are expecting a room that doesn't have any problems, don't stay in a historic hotel. LOL

Room Tip: The corner balcony room is very nice. If you want an interesting experience, request the ghost room...

Hotel was fine and would stay there again. We did the ghost tour at 830 finished about 945. They build up activities to watch for around 1030 so we thought we would have a snack and wait. No food available. It was hot and we thought ice cream would be good. They are really missing the boat when it comes to food. If you tout events happening at night, Why not sell some stuff to the people waiting? We had the Sunday buffet the next day and it was good. Good selection with the exception of fruit. The only fruit they had was whole apples, odd.

Grounds are lovely. Loved the resident kitties. Sunday brunch was very nice. Spa was relaxing and enjoyable. Room was in really sad condition. I love to stay in historic hotels but have never stayed in one in such bad shape. The beds were comfortable though. No veneer on door of armoire, plaster on ceiling and wall of bathroom falling off. You stay here for the history, not the luxury.

Room Tip: Balcony on rear side of hotel

We booked our room expressly to spend time in the hotel Sky Bar and relax. After we checked in we discovered the bar was closed for repairs. No one had to courtesy to tell us this when we booked our reservation or at check in. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told he was not available. I did write the manager regarding our displeasure....still waiting for a reply. Buyer beware.....there are plenty of nice hotels in Eureka Springs....just know the customer service at this hotel is not up to par and they don't have any interest in hearing it or making any amends for it. I will NEVER stay here again!

This is our second trip to the Crescent. We were excited to come ...... Until we get checked into Room 219 and it didn't even have a small refrigerator! They had told us when booking this room that it had been remodeled. I believe it's still in the process! The bathroom door is gotten into by a large step up. The door doesn't even close! The bathroom has 2 lights and one light bulb is out. It was after 3:00 before they cleaned it. The front desk said they have 51 room check ins and they are first. The maid brings her son, approximately 6-7 year old to "help" clean the room. This is not professional at all! They also have 2 unusual steps to get into the shower area. They are rough unfinished boards. We loved our first stay but I'm sure this will be our last. We will still come for the breakfast. Dwayne does a wonderful job on the omelets! Can't be beat them! Really sorry I couldn't give this a 5 star. I want to help others not make the mistake we did.

Room Tip: Ask what amenities each room has.
