TERRIBLE!! Has really gone downhill since our last stay there a few years ago. Worn carpets, broken baggage carrier, lights in room not working, dirty room, flys in room, and odor in room. Spent very uncomfortable night and the cost for $90 room with tax is $102! We will never stay there again!

At $94.00/night per room it was about $25-$30/night overpriced. The hotel had friendly staff, and it was clean. Other than this it was not much to brag about. The rooms were a bit musty smelling but did improve a bit after turning on the ac for a few hours. The "only free hot breakfast in Eureka Springs" was also only mediocre. No waffles were offered, the milk was only minimally cool, the hot water for instant oatmeal, hot cocoa, etc was barley luke-warm and it would have been nice to offer more fresh fruit other than whole apples. The instant eggs and sausage links were both just ok. The biscuits and gravy were acceptable. The kids did enjoy the indoor pool. They do not offer roll-aways nor do they have sleeper sofas which caused us to split up our family of 7 into 2 different rooms.

Room Tip: They have rooms that open up into the inside of the hotel overlooking the indoor pool. To save $10/r...

Being a Choice Hotel member, we've found this hotel group to be a good value for the quality of service, accomodations, etc. This is not the case with this hotel. It was less than satisfactory for a Quality Inn establishment. There were unknown smells when you walked in the lobby. The room we were in needed a complete update and just had a nasty, dirty feel to the whole place. We'll try our chances with another hotel group when we return to Eureka Springs.

Nasty nasty nasty!!! And for sure not worth $102 after finding 2 cockroaches on bathroom floor. Owner, Non-American, never apologized or offered discount, only that they could have come in w/ someone else's luggage, they are in the woods, they aren't "real" cockroaches, etc. Tried moving to room right next door. Duh!!!!

My Mom and I stayed here over Mother's Day weekend--remembering the days when this was the Holiday Inn. We had a room inside the atrium overlooking the pool. The pool area was clean--and so was the hot tub. The room was clean, but don't look around the baseboards. They haven't been vaccumed in awhile. There was also a dried-on-the-wall splash of some sort of liquid. The curtains are white sheers with faux panels that do not close on either side. This is where you need the clothes pins to pull the curtains shut to block out the sun and for privacy. The beds were very comforable with four soft pillows on each bed. The bathroom was very clean. The worst part was the "dive-in movie" that was shown every night. I don't think they start it until 9 because Jurassic Park wasn't over until close to 11:00pm. It was EXTREMELY loud. Imagine trying to relax in your comfy bed after a delicious Ermilio's dinner with dinosaur attacks raging outside your door. The breakfast bar was ok and the front desk/housekeepers were very nice.

Room Tip: Pick an outside room away from the pool!

We have been Choice Hotel rewards members for twenty years. Most of the hotels are nice to very nice.

This hotel doesn't quite meet their standards. It is only fairly clean, and the chlorine smell from the pool about makes you keel over. You definitely would not want to stay in the poolside rooms. The outside areas leading to the rooms are not very clean at all.

The thing that made me angry was a 3% charge for using a credit card to pay the bill! This was not explained to me until she rang the charge and I asked why it was higher then the confirmation amount. Credit card charges are a cost of doing business. Upon check out when I complained they refunded the charge. This was ridiculous and annoying. I have never had it happen before anywhere in the country.

O.K. I have to say the property is in fairly nice condition and I am willing to put up with CRT TVs when you have such a nice pool and spa but the front desk personnel are suspect at best and have no customer service and are on the rude side. Not good for a resort destination like Eureka Springs. maintenance guys were the bomb however and more than made up for the rudeness at the front desk. Hot breakfast was above average but have to agree that a little fresh fruit would have helped. All in all, if you want to pay extra for the indoor pool and cool atrium this is your place in E.S. but rooms are about average and overpriced if are your not needing the indoor pool.
