“Our Wonderful Honeymoon!!!”
Reviewed July 30, 2014

We chose to spend our honeymoon in Eureka Springs, AR & stay at the Lake Lucerne Cottages. We wanted something with privacy, possibly near the water. Lake Lucerne has both. We stayed in the Dandelion cottage...great choice! Clean, kitchen fully stocked, everything worked. It was a perfect place for us it had a place to park the truck and trailer because we rode our Harley everywhere! The Bathing Room with a view was awesome and very private! We even grilled steaks one night out on the back patio deck. The bed, linens and pillows were of the same quality as the Omni Hotel in Dallas, TX...DREAMY! Both of us slept great!!! If we were to give it a grade I would give it an A-. The only thing that was lacking was gourmet room service...but then it wouldn't be a private cottage in the woods, would it???

Room Tip: If you want a romantic retreat for 2 or even a family of 6 reserve the Dandelion it's a two stor...

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and although the cabin was nice we found all the rules to be nerve-racking. You never meet the owner, you just show up and let yourself in. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised. It was nice and extremely clean. They have a book that has a list of their own reviews of different restraunts in the area. Some of the reviews were so hateful it was funny. Then they have several pages of rules. Do not fall asleep on the couch, do not put drinks on the coffee table, do not eat on the couch, and on and on.. I couldn't relax at all for fear of breaking one of the rules and being charged a ridiculous fee. I understand they want to keep the place clean and in no way did I plan to make a mess of the place but I have never stayed anywhere that had so many rules to follow! I spent the night before we left making sure there wasn't a sign that we had even stayed there. I booked the room to have a relaxing weekend but instead I worried about everything while I was in the cabin. I wouldn't ever consider staying here ever again.

The Tom Sawyer was a slice of heaven! This is the place to stay if you want to be close to town but quiet and secluded! The attention to detail and beautifully decorated cottages, (with full kitchen), had everything we needed. Lake Lucerne was just steps away from our deck, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the fish and ducks. Information was left for us about the history along with recommendations of places to eat or things to do. AND town was so close! We are already planning our Fall trip back! Great prices and easy to RELAX! Thank you again for keeping that little slice of history in Eureka Springs going.

Room Tip: Call them with your needs and they will put you in the cottage that suites you.

We stayed in the Dandelion Cottage for four nights. It had just been remodeled and everything was brand new and so cute! It was extremely clean! We all slept very well each night. The lake was beautiful and very quiet. We felt like the only people there but we were only about five minutes outside of town. Our daughter loved petting the donkeys, llamas, and miniature horse they had. It was one of the best vacations we have ever had and when we return to Eureka Springs we most definitely will stay here.

We stayed in the cricket cottage,it was a great location, but could really use a deep cleaning! The curtains had rips in them, poison ivy was on the porch and we found a wood roach. It is in the middle of woods,so that's somewhat
understandable. But if someone would Windex mirrors and clean spider webs from behind beds, etc. It would really clean up well.

My daughter and I just spent 3 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it! Now, if you are looking for pampered luxury, this might not be your place. If you are looking for clean and comfortable, with nice cabin decor, and especially if you enjoy nature, this is perfect. Comfortable beds. Jacuzzi tub big enough for 2. Wifi. Cable TV. Best of all: deer, birds, birds, and more birds. Frogs singing at the little lake. Very friendly and helpful owner--but not nosy or intrusive. Delicious mini-loaf of pineapple zucchini bread on the counter when we arrived. It seemed like staying in a state or national park but was relatively close to downtown Eureka Springs, and we were glad to get back to a quiet, natural spot after shopping most of each day!

Just returned from a delightful 4 days in this perfect cottage! The setting is very peaceful and the size and floor plan was perfect for my husband, daughter and son-in-law and two granddaughters. We were thoroughly entertained by the geese. Perfect weather for the fireplace and S'mores. We were expecting a nice cottage - but were more than happy with the accommodations and the special touches - homemade zucchini pineapple bread, comfy beds and even games and cards.
