“Unbelievable breakfast”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

Arrived around 8:30, so no pancakes (we were told that around 8:00 is the cutoff due to kitchen space), but still plenty to choose from.

If you order coffee, you fill your own with several varieties to choose from. The portions were plentiful and you've got to try the cheese grits!

The staff is great and makes you feel at home. We left ordering muffins and cake to go, which were awesome!

“Underground cafe that is delightful”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

This cute little café is open for breakfast and lunch. It is on the main streets of Eureka Springs. You go in the door and down the stairs to the café. It is bustling with people both times we ate there. The hostess sat us down and directed us to where you get your own coffee. Pretty smart if you ask me. This way the busy waitresses don't get so bogged down with filling your coffee cups up. There were several coffees to choose from and you can add spices, creams and sugars there as well. First day I ordered the spinach and mushroom omelet with home fries and toast. It was very good and you will not go away hungry. The second time I ordered a muffin egg sandwich. It was tasty as well. My husband both days ordered eggs, toast, grits and ham. The grits are like none we have ever had. They had cheese and spices in there to give it a kick. My husband ate these and he has never in his life liked grits.
We did not ever make it for lunch but I'm sure the lunches are just as good. They also have pies and desserts you can choose from.

“A must while in Eureka Springs!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

We ate breakfast here on a Sunday morning and loved it! The staff is very friendly and efficient. Go here hungry! The food was awesome and lots of it!!! Fixed just like you want it! The pastries looked delicious, but we were too full to get any. The atmosphere is unique and inviting! We will definitely be going back to eat and taking some of the pastries with us!! Highly recommend !!!!!

“FABULOUS!”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

We are foodies and absolutely LOVED everything we ate at Mud Street - coffee, salad, sandwiches AND desserts - oh those desserts! Very cool history and quaint underground location. Excellent service - we were sad we discovered it on our last day because we would have returned again given the time!
