Located in the basement of a historical building in downtown, this cozy and eclectic setup is great. The food is great; we had lunch there twice, and breakfast once. Everyone is very friendly, but they definitely move at their own pace. Worth the wait though!

Breakfast here was great! The food was definitely fresh and delicious! We didn't try their lunch, but I'm sure it's good as well!

The best breakfast in Eureka Springs, served in an eclectic underground cafe. Fresh local products, the best coffee in town, scrumptious bakery items. The veggie grits are a favorite of mine: garlic cheese grits topped with an array of fresh crisp steamed veggies, spicy salsa, and olives. Combine that with the fresh fruit plate, cups of freshly brewed coffee, a Bloody Mary, and this is heaven. Server Penny is a treasure. This is a "don't miss".

Eureka Springs is not a foodie's vacation, but Mud Street Cafe is a great little breakfast spot. I wanted to go again but my friend wanted to try other places. Wonderful coffee!

It's still probably one of the better restaurants in Eureka Springs, but it's in the basement and it feels really stuffy and crowded. Too much odd art on the walls doesn't help. The food is good, but not exceptional. Large portions, and decent desserts. The coffee setup is odd...seems to be serve yourself. I would go back, but would try other places first.
