“Best Place to Stay in Eureka if you want to be in town!!!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

I Love staying at the New Orleans Hotel & Spa when I go to Eureka. It has been several years since I have been but went this past weekend and the New Orleans and their staff did not disappoint! It was great. Love, Love, Love the location. Had a massage from the place in the hotel and spent Saturday evening at the Voulez Vous Lounge in the lower level. Great bar, not smokey and the band was fantastic..... Can't wait to go back!!

We stayed at this boutique hotel, built in 1859, for a day-trip over Spring Break. We booked a king suite and were very pleased with the size of the room, the comfort of the bed and the amenities. They had a refridgerator stocked with soft drinks! The hotel staff was very helpful with parking our car and recommendating places to eat and watch basketball. .. it was March Madness! The drawback of our stay was the temperature of the room. It was snowing outside, but the room was warm. . . .actually hot. We ran the winidow airconditioning unit and the room still felt warm in the evening. The ambiance was great--wood floors, three flights of stairs (no elevator), coffee and water in the lobby. Very unique.

Room Tip: Book a King Suite. Worth the extra money. We stayed during the week and if the weather had been bet...

Had a great time at The New Orleans. Very nice staff who gave us great recommendations on where to eat (Local Flavor Cafe and Grande Taverne Restaurant). I chose this hotel because our adult daughter was traveling with us and we wanted to stay in town so we could walk rather than drive and they had a king suite with room for a roll away bed. There was a flat screen tv which was important because of the NCAA basketball tournament. It had a huge bathroom, plenty of hot water and robes. Because it is an old building the pipes made a funny sound after flushing the toilet which didn't bother us once we realized what it was. It turned cold while there and you do have to turn the heater unit off and on manually because there isn't a thermostat. Again, not a problem for us but might be for some. Would definitely choose The New Orleans again.

This grand old hotel was built in the 1800's and is nestled on a hillside of Spring Street in the Historic Downtown District of Eureka Springs. It's very conveniently located near lots of shops, restaurants and taverns.
The rooms are beautiful, clean, and plush; they have all been meticulously restored and updated with some modern amenities (my particular fave was the huge Jacuzzi garden tub). You can't help but marvel at the architecture and the majestic sweeping staircase. The service is 5 Star! Keith and his staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Everything about this place is geared toward your comfort!
I will definitely return again and again. Next time I'll get a massage at their spa...I hear that's divine as well :)

Room Tip: All of the rooms are fantastic! Ours was near the front balcony overlooking Spring Street...I love t...

Right in the heart of downtown historic Eureka Springs, the New Orleans Hotel offers convenience, comfort, and charisma. We spent two nights in a king deluxe Jacuzzi room, well worth the upgrade, in cold, wintry late February. What a treat! The hotel offers authentic Victorian-era ambience with a parlor, wide-board wooden floors, doors with real keys, stairs instead of an elevator, and a staff that delivers good service and sound advice. The modern touches added comfort and convenience. Our bed was firm, the hot water for the Jacuzzi was plentiful, and the WiFi worked. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Our only glitch was the room HVAC unit, which was either on hot or off. Complimentary parking behind the hotel is down a set of steep outdoor stairs, but consider it a big benefit because parking in town is severely limited. Shopping and restaurants are within easy walking distance of the hotel. The Suchness Spa in the lobby is superb and worthy as a destination in itself, and the accompanying shops are filled with beautiful clothing and accessories.

Room Tip: Worth the upgrade to a larger room and Jacuzzi

This hotel is wonderful. Our rooms were so pretty,as well as the rest of the hotel. The staff were very nice. We had no complaints at all. Everything was perfect. We had a great massage at the hotel spa, too. We will go back again.

It was nice to stay Valentine's weekend directly downtown in such a historic old hotel with all its creaky floors and character. Our room was quite cozy, clean, and comfy--our first time at the New Orleans--walking distance to several very good restaurants and shops. The view out our window was of the beautiful Ozark Mountains and the Christ of Ozarks statue as the early morning snow came down. Weekend breakfasts were very good: huge variety of fresh fruit, banana bread, yogurt, and gourmet coffee. The staff is a bit "quirky" in that they don't exude the typical Southern hospitality one might expect in Arkansas. They're a tad slow to respond to needs. However, Sue is always available to carry your bags upstairs--no elevators! Check in is tricky- no parking allowed in front of hotel since the entrance is street-side, so we were "scolded" by the check-in staff for briefly unloading in front...welcome could have been warmer. Overall, we would return since the price is reasonable for a downtown historic hotel with lots of character and cleanliness.

Room Tip: Some rooms are quieter than others: there is a lounge located over some rooms with loud music at nig...
