“Absolutely relaxing!”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

My husband and I stayed here after his return from deployment. It was just what we needed to reconnect with each other. It was very clean and came with everything you needed. Just add food. The view was spectacular. We came in October so the mornings were cool but it was beautiful during the day. Not to far from Eureka Springs so you've got shopping and restaurant not to far, but you get the peace and quite from the nose of the world. ;->

My husband and I chose to stay at this resort because it was a little out of town and had a view of Beaver Lake. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this resort to anyone who is wanting a romantic getaway! We stayed in cabin 6 which was at the very end but perfect for us!! The jacuzzi was so relaxing and we enjoyed relaxing in the deck in the swing and taking in the fantastic view of the lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful!!

My husband and I chose Sugar Ridge Resort based upon the views shown on their website. We were definitely not disappointed. We stayed in Suite B, which has a fabulous, tree-top view of Beaver Lake. The room was spacious and clean. The Jacuzzi tub allowed me to be pampered, and comfortably fits two. It is a drive from Eureka Springs, but well worth the trip! I was a bit discouraged by the lack of privacy when we could hear murmurs from our neighbors next-door. We resolved that by turning on the fan blower. (We will likely check out a cabin next time.) The coffee pot should also be replaced…it took quite some time to brew a pot. But once we had our coffee cups filled and in-hand, we took to the large deck to relax and enjoy the view!

Room Tip: Maybe try out a cabin vs a suite for more privacy.

Fantastic view with every opportunity to simply relax ond refuel or enjoy the outdoor activities that are plentiful.
Just remember, these are cabins, in the woods overlooking a beautiful lake. If you are looking for room-service and hotel amenities, go somewhere else. If you want nature, peacefullness and time to reflect and enjoy the company of someone special, Sugar Ridge is the place.

Really a top notch place to stay. The room was clean and upscale, without being too prissy. Beds are big and comfortable. Jacuzzi was perfect after a long day in the cold rain. Wayne, the guy at the front desk did such a great job. He was always helpful, insightful and just plain fun. He even shared a pizza with me, just because I came by when he was making it. Definitely worth the money. The trout fishing was great and the view is amazing! Whether it's a quick getaway, or a fishing extravaganza, this is the place to stay!

My wife and I came for long weekend and ejoyed our stay very much. We plan to come back again. We stayed in one of the suites and it was very nice. Next time we would like to try one of the cabins. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean when we checked in.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Fall is coming and remember that our cabins offer native stone wood burning fireplaces and we provide the wood!
Thanks again, Rich C

My husband and I booked a couple of nights at Sugar Ridge to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. We opted for a suite with a patio. The view of Beaver Lake was breathtaking! The "resort" however was, we found very run down. It is very unfortunate, because the location is something we really loved. It could be a real show place, but real quick you find there is no up keep of the units or the grounds. The patio needed a good powerwashing, the log siding was in bad need of restaining, and there was mold all around the shower at the bottom. The road that goes to the cabins is lined with a very messy woodpile, old air conditioners, as well as other junk you must pass to get to the cabins. What an EYESORE! Last fall and winter tree debris and leaves were still present under all the trees. I hope the owners pay attention, and make some improvments as they could have a real showplace with the location they have there. We won't be returning until that happens. :(

As the owner of this family run resort I really depend on the feedback found on this forum. It seems that from time to time we find ourselves walking around with blinders on as we are here everyday. To listen to unbiased guests comments is very helpful. Maintenance is an ongoing concern with our property and after looking closer I realized it was time to push forward the scheduled Staining of our suites, which has now been completed. We do offer free firewood to all cabins in the winter and cut roughly 60 ricks a year. Having the wood pile close to the office was convenient but after looking at it through the eyes of a traveler we decided to move the wood cutting operation to another location off property. We have a lawn service that cuts grass every week but at the time of this review we had endured 18 days of rain which keep the service at bay and the grass was knee high. We love the 75 acres which hold these cabins and look forward to many years of happy guests. We are raising of young family here and hope one day ours kids will be here to greet you. Thanks again for your words as they help to keep us focused on our primary goal, and that is your satisfaction. We hope you will drop by to see the improvements. Rich C.
