This cottage is great for a couples getaway. We really enjoyed staying here while exploring Eureka Springs and surrounding areas. The lake setting was beautiful and the cottage had everything we needed.
Lovely little bungalow. Enjoyed the quiet island. Hot tub & jacuzzi were nice. Great little get away. Thank you.
Loved this place. It was a roomy well appointed bungalow with a great kitchen, living room, dining room, computer station, bedroom with TV, bathroom spa tub big enough for two and a two person hot tub on the huge porch. Although it sat nicely on the corner of the fairly busy lake road, it had a nice quiet and tranquil feel. Close to a grocery store and only about 15 minutes to downtown Eureka Springs made it an ideal location to avoid the tourist traffic. It had a beautiful lake view but you couldn’t stroll down to the lake from there. Overall a great stay for the money. Bring your own food to cook inside or out and don’t worry about the utinsels or pots and pans. They supplied everything needed for a romantic getaway. Large refrigerator and full sized oven and cook top.
My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. We found the cottage charming, clean, calming and a great use of space. We enjoyed using the hot tub, grilling on the deck and watching the stars while listening to the bullfrogs sing in the night. Some reviews mentioned the noise from the road that is close by. We were never bothered by the sound of the traffic and we stayed over the Labor Day weekend. Sure a few cars went by but they never really were a distraction. There are some neighbors too, but never heard any noise from them either. Loved the view off the deck and the close proximity to grocery shopping and Eureka Springs. Thanks again for sharing your cottage. We would certainly stay in your cottage again if we made it back to Eureka Springs. Teddi and Terrylee
When we looked at this listing, we were looking for a place overlooking a lake, The listing sounded perfect, even down to the name of blue water bungalow, Unfortunately, it didn't live up to that name. Blue water is the name if the street the house is on and its definitely new construction, not a bungalow, More Pottery Barn if that's what you are looking for, As far as water, out the back door you could see the corner if the lake over a parking lot, It was situated on the corner if a very busy road and definitely not in the forest or secluded, It was also a long drive into Eureka Springs over very winding roads. The place was new and large, nice furniture and kitchen, Unfortunately we had booked 3 nights, but had to leave after the first night due to an emergency at home, The owners would not refund anything, even though this was an emergency, They did offer to give us a deal on future stays but we wont be staying there again.
The bright side-The owners were very accommodating and the place was easy to find and very clean!
The average side. Unfortunate amount of road noise audible from the bedroom and the queen size bed's mattress was pretty worn down.
The shower was rather tricky to figure out and I think we were looking for something a little more isolated, luxury, yet rustic.
Overall, it was a pleasurable experience.
We stayed two nights in this peacefully beautiful bungalow. It was the perfect choice for us. It felt very much like being at home but when you looked outside, you knew you were not in the Texas plains anymore. Being right on the lake was amazing, hiking was perfect and drive time to Eureka Springs was perfect! We definitely plan to stay here again on our next visit.
