“Absolutely Fabulous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013

First of all, my husband and I have been coming to Eureka Springs for many years. Not only as a couple; but as children with our parents. We have each stayed in everything from hotel rooms to cabins in the mountains. This was the perfect blend of both. We stayed on the adult only (lower level) floor. The room was was very relaxing. The view of trees, valley and wildlife were just as good as an expensive cabin. The rates were very reasonable! Robert & Sonja were excellent hosts! They actually took us to our room and opened it for us to be sure that we were pleased before just turning us loose. LOL This is going to be my choice to stay from now on.

Room Tip: If you are a couple looking to get away, choose the adult only floor and take advantage of the "...

I booked here for my Dad and I. We were looking for something moderately priced but more up to date than some of the places in Eureka Springs. From the pictures and the ratings I thought this one would fit. The owner checked us in. Check in was easy. The room was clean. No refrigerator or microwave but up to date furnishings. The shower head was high enough which is sometimes an issue in older hotels. Housekeeping did a good job.

Room Tip: Rooms with 2 beds are on the front. Rooms with the woods as a view have only 1 bed and are designed...

A nice clean little room. Charming cabin decor. Very light, continental breakfast. It was cool when we were there, so it would be nice if they enclosed the atrium to have a cozy place for breakfast without having to carry it to your room. Even a couple of outdoor heaters would help that could be set between two tables. Certainly worth the money we spent, but you must remember this is an older motel that has been remodeled, so noise can be a factor.

Room Tip: Enjoyed the room at the back overlooking the woods, but there are people above you and thin walls.

My gf and I stayed at the lookout lodge a few weeks ago and I've been meaning to write this review because we were both very pleased with the entire experience. The owner was so accommodating and friendly. As soon as we checked in, he pulled out a map of Eureka downtown area and highlighted hot spots for us and then gave us the map. This was very helpful because we were both there for the first time.

The rooms were very clean and newly remodeled and cozy. The hot tub was very nice and relaxing as it overlooks the woods.

We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. I would reccomend this lodge to anyone.

Lookout Lodge is an awesome Lodge with wonderful people running it. Their advice was appreciated as to what establishments to stay away from eating wise. We had heard the same advice from friends before traveling to the town. My wife loved the room, it wa big enough to accommodate everyone.

The people that run this lodge are very nice. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. There are only 16 rooms. Ours was down a flight of stairs overlooking a peaceful valley which I wrongly thought would be the quietest. While the king-size bed was very comfortable, the floors are wooden. You know - Lookout LODGE. When the people in the room above ours walked around it sounded like a stampede. Then, before bedtime, my wife and I were watching TV when a rumbling noise began that nearly drowned out the tv. Some of the rooms, including the one above us, have jacuzzi's. Thankfully, the people above us were only in theirs a half hour or so and it quieted back down (except for when they walked around). One other annoyance was the heating/ac. It was chilly the night we stayed so I set the control on "low heat". Low heat is achieved by periods of toasty warmth flowing from the system, followed by a chilly breeze until the thermostat clicks the heat back on. At midnight I finally got up and turned it off. We stayed here because the price was excellent and it is very highly-rated on Trip Advisor. It is a nice place, but if you are sensitive to noise, get a room on the top floor where there are no rooms (or jacuzzi's) directly above you.

Room Tip: Get a room on the top floor.

We appreciate your feedback and we do apologize, that we did not meet your expectations completely.

To have hardwood floors in all the rooms is a great thing, but there is also a chance of some more noise, than with a room with carpet flooring. We try to keep the noise around the motel as low as we can, but we can't control any disturbances coming from the rooms. We have soundproofed the floors and walls between the rooms the best we could, but we will not be able to eliminate all noise happening in a public place like our motel. We do apologize for any inconvenience at all.

The writer of this review stayed in room N#4, which is located on the adults only floor, which would be the lowest floor of the motel. On this row, we do have 3 rooms with a 2-person Jacuzzi tub and one of these rooms is right next door N#5, but there are no rooms having a Jacuzzi room above. While the jets are running, there is some rumbling sounds possible, but we never had anyone complaining about it. As the writer himself mentioned, if you are very noise sensitive, you might choose always a room on the top level floor of a motel to avoid most of any noise.

We are looking forward to Doug's next visit to historic Eureka Springs to have the opportunity to serve and meet his expectations. Thank you very much.

The rooms are exceptionally clean and the owners are friendly. We come to Eureka often and stay here every time:) There is also a delicious Chinese restaurant right next door. It doesn't look like much but it is great food and the prices are reasonable!
