It is now a beef jerky concession; hard to consider it a restaurant. There is not much to say about this place.

Cafe Sanctuary closed their doors in January 2012. This is a loss to our community. Deb was so friendly--delightful even, and her food was delicious too. So sorry the Cafe Sanctuary is closed.

Deborah comes from high pressure Sedona to care for an ailing In-Law in our small community. She bought a home, so, hopefully that means WE are keeping her. Not only is the food delicious and far from ordinary, she has such a cheerful countenance as if it really is her pleasure to serve. The price is the LOWEST IN TOWN for the quality. She also has a catoring business (in her spare time) and will make local celebrations, special events, and single meal orders, made to order perfect for those of us who probably do have more time. The coffee is fresh ground and sold by the pound for those of us addicted to it. Where else can you write, read, study, and socialize outdoors over a beautiful creek side setting. All it takes is one trip to be hooked to this enchanted sanctuary.

We stopped in for coffee, and had the finest of that as well as delicious sandwiches--sharing London broil and turkey on fresh-cooked Italian bread. That led us to get quiche to go for the next morning, along with blueberry scones and sliced fruits. All of this food and drink was marvelous, served by friendly and warmly engaging people. Our two Welsh Terriers were welcomed into the pleasant alfresco setting, and they were served dishes of water with tasty treats. We stopped in at Café Sanctuary on an off chance, and found a place we will go back to whenever we are in Eureka Springs.
