The hotel and surrounding parcs and forest, as well as the building itself still displays the "grandeur" of the French nobility.
The food is above average, but sometimes we had the idea that the chef was more concerned with visual aspects than the taste.
The small swimming pool is nice, although the chlorine content of the water is far too high.
The staff is very young and polite but sometimes too inexperienced to provide the service you automatically expects in such a place.

I stayed here on a Saturday evening whilst the Chateau was hosting a wedding party, so, no 'Diner' available, although I was directed to a very acceptable little restaurant down the road.

The room was a wonderful classic room for a Chateau - high ceiling, tall windows long heavy drapes, beautiful oak block flooring and a funny little quirky ensuite bathroom..it all oozed with character.
Not much in the way of mod cons but ..what the heck !

Breakfast was offered in an enormous Chambres. One felt as if you owned the place !

Investment to the house and grounds to get up to scratch is necessary, so appreciate it is'nt really posh so much as charming characterful.

Room Tip: ne pas y aller tout simplement ou savoir que l'on va payer cher et ne pas avoir le service en face
