Great location, service and most importantly - very, very helpful... Host - Veronique providing really practical hints, information, suggestions and help. Definitely thanks to Veronique we were able to see much more than we would basing only on guides, as well as had a chance to taste local food and wine in recommended (and booked) places.
We have stayed in Pavillon Lucas (Cottage), very convenient for a stay of 2 couples and with a fully equipped kitchen.
We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful property. The location is great, quiet yet close enough to Amboise. The property and grounds are stunning - beautifully restored to a very high standard, and we loved the pool! Veronique is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of the local area - she was always ready to offer advice, maps, help with bookings - which really added to our enjoyment of the local areas (we never had a dud!). We would strongly recommend.
In the middle of things but off the beaten track. We enjoyed the quiet, large and graceful rooms. We could see Amboise and the river from the hillside while enjoying pure solitude of Chateau Nazelles-Négron. After our morning breakfast we enjoyed a hillside hike up through the old entrance to the Chateau. A trip to Saturday Market rewarded us with fresh meats, bread, cheese for a lunch on the lawn back at the Chateau and then to read a book or a quick swim at the pool. This was a win win afternoon.

On the way down we had two nights at Château de Nazelles.
It’s a beautiful place in a stunning area and I’d recommend it thoroughly for families and couples. The small house we stayed in had been decorated so cleverly and creatively. Great place.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage at Chateau de Nazelles. Veronique gave us a warm welcome and the 2 bedroom cottage was perfect for our family. Beautiful bedrooms, nicely fitted bathrooms, an upstairs sun terrace and modern kitchen bathed in light from the floor to ceiling windows. Great combination of modern and troglodyte cave, which was really rather special. Breakfast is brought on a tray each morning which felt very decadent. The pool was great and there was also a super table tennis table right next to our cottage. The gardens are lovely with fantastic views and you see hot air balloons rising over Amboise. A really short drive to Amboise with a nice buzz. Well worth a visit to Chateau Clos de Luce where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last 3 years. Our 9 & 11 yr olds found it fascinating. Completely recommended.
Château de Nazelles is one of the most charming places we’ve ever had the pleasure to find. Between the pool oasis and the enchanted garden, you cannot find anything better. The rooms are beautiful and impeccably kept. Every morning when you wake, you’re reminded that you are somewhere with a lot of history but with all the amenities you’d ever need.
The garden has an outdoor kitchen with everything you could possibly need and picnic tables to enjoy a fabulous charcuterie and vin from the local shops.
The sweet dog Sammy is a warm companion as he lays in the grass with you.
One night we wanted to pop into Amboise for dinner. We inquired about a taxi only to have them offer to take us in themselves and then dropping us off at a lovely place to have an aperitif.
Cannot day enough about this property. We’d return only to stay here.
