After a long drive from Paris we were blown away by this little gem.We stayed in the separate room not in the house. It was pleasant, cosy and very comfortable.Bath had everyting you needed, even a shower.Walking around the grounds was a marvel of sites from the 1500's.Great views. You are very close to Amboise and a number of Chateau's,and fine restuarants.enjoy your stay,we did.

We stayed for 2 nights at this Amazing Chateau and wish we could have stayed longer! The chateau itself is simply indescribable...it dates back to the 1500's and you need to experience it to really appreciate it! The driveway was a little difficult to navigate (very narrow off the road) but once inside, you become immersed in the history and beauty of your surroundings. The family who owns the property and lives there are very warm, hospitable people. It was the PERFECT place to stay in Amboise and provided easy access to all of the castles, wineries and sites in the surrounding Loire region. We truly loved our stay at this one-of-a-kind B&B and we would definitely stay there again if visiting the region!

We keep going back to Véro and Olivier at Nazelles and would never dream of stopping somewhere else in the Loire Valley, on our twice yearly trip down to Bordeaux.

Love the place, full of history, the hostess is the business, and the latest addition, such as complimentary tea and coffee and use of a guest kitchen most welcome.

Room tip: Any room is fab. Ask for troglodyte rooms for something really different

This chateau, which was recommended to us by our son (who had stayed for a few nights some years earlier), was rather further south than we originally intended to travel in a day from the London area, but proved to be very well worth the journey. Veronique was very welcoming and showed us around the property and the beautiful grounds, including the swimming pool built into the rock face. This unusual chateau, built on the side of the cliff overlooking the village of Nazelles Negron, and together with the lovely gardens, enjoys far-reaching views to the south, including a glimpse of the chateau at Amboise over the River Loire.
We stayed in our own "Wendy House", being the Pavillon Marie-Louise, in the rear courtyard. It was very private and quiet and simply furnished. The wet room shower, built into the cliff, was very interesting, particularly as it included a clear-glazed circular window overlooking the courtyard and gardens which seemed to offer little privacy at first, but which steamed up immediately the shower was operated !
Veronique had kindly booked us into the Auberge de Launay restarant near Limeray, some 10 minutes away, where we thoroughly enjoyed a most excellent meal at a very modest price.
Breakfast, taken in a large, impressive dining room, was very good, especially trying out some of the local honey on offer (and we bought some jars for use at home) and with excellent coffee.
Several other guests were using the chateau as a base for touring the Loire valley and we envied them as we had to move on after one night.

Room tip: The Pavillon Marie-Louise is different in being a detached building and the advantage of having no disturbances from neighbouring rooms. The room is simply furnished and of average size. The quirky round bathroom and wet room, with window, adds to the interest and novelty of the accommodation.

This place was fabulous. The room we stayed in had a great view over the valley and was large and had much light and air. The property had wonderful grounds to lounge on and a swimming pool built into the cliff. She provided you with a kitchen and picnic table over the valley. A wonderful place for a picnic dinner. The breakfast was large and included yogurt cheese and meats as well as fresh juice served in a beautiful room. The owner was charming and helpful. A perfect place
