I was here for lunch on a rather hot and humid afternoon just after some thunderstorms. I chose to eat in the well-ventilated dining room, although there is a terrace shaded with large umbrellas. I had the Menu du Marché which is 21 euro for two courses and 26 euro for three. I had all three! Beginning with Piquillos farcis à la crème de chèvre et concombre, salade de roquette au balsamique (Spanish sweet pepper stuffed with cream of goat cheese and cucumber, a roquett salad with balsamic dressing). The main course was Steak de hape Charolais, gratin dauphinois, compotée d’oginos et salade verte au vinaigre de vin rouge (Charolais steak with dauphinois potatoes, compote of onions and a green salad with red wine vinegar dressing). All rounded off with a crème brulée and a black coffee.
As I was in Morey-Saint-Denis I had a glass of 1er cru Les Millande 2007, served slighly chilled, and a bottle of mineral water.
The whole came to 50 euro which I thought very reasonable for the three star surroundings and quality and presentation of the meal.
