We rented a pacific view cabin. The views were amazing. Cabins are lovely and clean. 2 bedroom cabin had Queen bed in bed 1 and double bed a set of bunks in the other. Open plan kitchen, dining and loungeroom. Staff were friendly. Was given a complimentry late checkout as they have to change our cabin at the last minute.

This is the best cabin we have stayed in (seaview cabin no 15). The view over the ocean was the best and the fact that we were so close to the beach that you could hear the waves crashing on the shore was fantastic. Beach was great for the kids as they did not have to walk far and there was great rock pools for a'paddling. We had not stayed in this part of NSW before and although it was 12 km north of Wollongong it still held the peace of a quiet sleepy seaside town. The bunnies at the park were a thrill for the children and so was the play ground.

My partner and I stayed in the spa cabins for a long weekend. When we arrived the staff told us that we had been upgraded to the beachfront cabins, which was very nice of them, but as the cabins didn't have a spa we declined their kind offer.

The cabins we stayed in were a fair way back from the beach, but that was fine by us. If you know the South Coast, you know that the wind comes up of an afternoon, and for someone like me who really feels the cold, it was good to be a little more sheltered from the wind than the beach front cabins were.

The cabins were very well appointed, and we took full advantage of the kitchen and bbq facilities. There was also a spacious covered balcony.

The tourist park is about a ten minute walk from town and a little longer to the train station. We didn't have a car at the time so it was good that we could walk everywhere. The beach would have been fantastic if it was summer, but it was just a little too cold for us.

Not the prettiest setting in the world, as you are smack bang in the middle of a residential area. I prefer staying in the bush, but as we didn't have a car our choices were limited. All in all, a very nice little place to stay (but maybe plant a few more trees around and it would look much nicer). Recommended for families and people staying with friends.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our back up north to Sydney after Christmas.

The location of the site was excellent, and you could walk, from within the site, across a public footpath and onto the sand of Bulli Beach, which was gorgeous. One concern about this was that anybody could enter the caravan park, whether they were staying there or not.

Our campervan pitch seemed to be used by all residents as footpath / cut through to the other side of the park, which was kind of irritating.

Many of the residents seemed to be permanent residents, which made us question the fact as to whether this was really a "tourist" park. If not permanent, they were certainly regular visitors, and were *very* cliquey. This is quite possibly the least sociable park that we have stayed at during our travels.

There did seem to be a fair number of tourists, in vans and tents, but they were positioned on the other side of the park. Perhaps if we had been located nearer to them, we may have felt more comfortable.

The amenities were fine, if not very dated. Plus, you had to pay for the hot water in your shower - 20 cents for 5 minutes of hot water - which wasn't expensive, but a little inconvenient. The shower block was kept clean, and cleaning of the block took place at a time of day that was convenient for the guests.

There was a big tent on-site during our stay - not sure if this is a permanent fixture - that provided daily entertainment for children, as well as adults on occasion. The theme of the entertainment during our stay was 'religion', and different games and activities took place during the day and in the evenings. Certainly not our cup of tea, and not sure if this is a regular thing, but it kept the kids quiet!

There is an on-site kiosk that sells food and drink throughout the day. We only used it to buy bags of ice for the cooler, but it was always busy and their wares looked to be very good.

Overall, this is a good park, that may be better out-of-season. If you book to stay here, see if you can pitch up near the beach, as this is where we saw many more, what we thought to be, tourists.

We would recommend this site to others, with reservation, but we are unlikely to stay here again.
