The hotel has excellent rooms, the food was very nice and the restaurant is great and makes you feel like in real restaurant and not in hotel's dining room.
The service is awesome and the prices for extras (like wine at dinner and coffee at the bar) are definitely acceptable.
Ski lockers (per room) are very useful and convenient.

This was our 4th time in Pas, and the first at Font D'Argent. Having stayed at the Hotel Magic and Himalaia in the past I was hopeful of a good stay. People we'd met the year before liked it, so why not.

On arriving at the Font on Sunday afternoon we were checked in fairly quickly and were given 3 key cards, one for each of us. Great, no swapping and making sure we can all get by...
The room was very nice, enough 'living' space for 3 adults BUT no where near enough storage space for 3! And no hooks to hang pants and jackets on after a day on the slopes. Instead we had to leave these laying around and cluttering the room. Another wardrobe would have help for 3 people, but I suppose it would have been OK for 2.

The rooms have a free safe, TV and fridge. Separate shower and bath was nice and the bathroom was a good size. Each room has its own ski locker in the basement, which again was fine for 2 sets of 'ski' equipment but not for my board! Another locked had to be acquired for my board but even then it was a tight squeeze with the bindings.

The reception area houses a very small bar and seating area which I feel was pretty much the only let down for the hotel. The previous 2 mentioned hotels each had 'social' bar areas and benefited for having so. There was free Internet connection via 4 PCs setup on the 1st floor of the hotel and WiFi was available in your room, but at an additional cost of €1 a day. Make it free for gods sake!!

Now onto the best part, in my view, of the hotel; the food in the restaurant and the staff. For the week we were there the chef on duty on the grill was called Edwardo, king of chefs font of all knowledge, patience of a saint (needed for some nationalities) and a daily weather forecast to boot. The overall standard of the food was good, with the grill being excellent everyday.

There are spa facilities but we never used them.

I think out of the 3 hotels I have stayed at in Pas, if the Font had a better bar/social area it would be the best of the 3 by far. This, and maybe the pay as you go WiFi were the only real downsides to the hotel.

Would I stay again? Yes.

We were a party of ten - aged between 17 and 58!!! we had a lovely holiday and the hotel was excellent. The food was really good and plenty of it. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - we left at 6am in the morning and they provided us all with a packed breakfast and even stood and waved us off!!! the spa is very relaxing and never too busy. The slopes were a minute away and the bars and restaurants very close by. The rooms were very modern and warm and clean and the beds very comfortable. Also the cost of drinking at the hotel was very reasonable. 13 euros for a really good bottle of wine!!! will be back to this hotel if we ski again in Andorra.
Linda - Lancashire

Room Tip: better choosing a room at the front of the hotel as paddys irish bar at the rear and noisy at night...

Stayed here with my boyfriend and family in January 13 for a one week ski holiday. Hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of the resorts. Pas de la casa has a lot of lovely bars so good for younger groups.
Font D'Argent is at most a 5 minute walk from ski school meeting place and the slopes. The heated boot room and lockers for your skis is good. Sauna, steam room and jacuzzi is a great place to rest and soothe your weary legs at the end of a days skiing- even better that it's free and didn't seem to ever get too busy.
Only down side about the hotel is that the rooms get very hot and there didn't seem to be air con..... Heating, but no AC! The food choice always suited me but it was always just tepid in temperature which was also a shame. The cooking station in the restaurant was excellent, always a good selection of freshly cooked meat and fish.
I would definitely stay here again and as a travel agent recommend it to my clients.

Rooms are clean and modern, if a bit on the small side. Everything seemed in working order. The pillows were uncomfortable and we did not sleep well some nights. The double room had two beds pressed together.

A short walk to ski lifts, which is a plus. Proximity to pubs leads to some (tolerable) noise. Buses cannot get into the village, which implies a long uphill walk with luggage to reach the hotel your first night, unless you're arriving by car or wait for the village shuttle to the hotel.

Ski locker is conveniently located, and equipped with lockers for each room, and boot racks. The space is very cramped with few benches.

The major downside was the food. Breakfast and dinner buffets had a limited selection of very oily dishes. Some foods were all right (in particular fruits and orange juice at breakfast) but for the most part the prepared buffet foods were not very tasty: eggs and bacon were too oily to eat. If you are going to the hotel your best bet is the grilled food selection in the evening, but be sure to ask for it to be thoroughly cooked. Or, take B&B and eat at any of the restaurants across the street. We may have been spoiled by a truly excellent 4-star hotel on our last ski trip.

Spa area contains two wet saunas, two dry, and two jacuzzis. All the saunas and jacuzzis are small (fit two or three people) but we never found the saunas crowded. The demand to buy a swimming cap for 2 euros to wear in the jacuzzi (even for short-haired men) is unreasonable to our minds. We understand this is a new rule. The hotel has a long list of rules, interfering with the holiday vibe. In any case the jacuzzis were surprisingly cold - no warmer than most indoor swimming pools. This was a major disappointment considering the spa facilities were a key consideration in our choice of this hotel. There are no towels available in the spa area; you must bring your own from the room. Bathrobes are provided but are not replaced, so don't use them in place of towels.

Service was overall decent, but some of the kitchen wait staff were rude to us. Receptionists were helpful.

Overall this hotel is not bad, but given our experience with 4 star hotels elsewhere in Europe, we feel that it does not live up to the rating.

We booked this hotel through an offer on uniski.com and we were very impressed with it. The rooms are modern and clean with great bathrooms with heated floors. It's close to the ski lifts and nearby bars and restaurants. Both breakfast and dinner buffets were great and the fresh orange juice machine was a nice plus. Whenever I'm in Pas De La casa again this is the first hotel I'll be looking at.
