“The falls were fabulous”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

There are 5 different waterfalls to walk down to. You want to make sure you are in shape because the hike back up is a tough one. The falls at the very bottom are worth going to. The local pet dog kind of guided us and when we were not right behind him in the car driving down this rough road to get there, he turned around and came back to see if we were coming. He then stayed on the trail with us the whole time (we didn't have any food for him and wish we did) until coming back up the trail he came across another group going down and then went with them. We were going to swim at Rainbow Waterfall but found the water too cool so we sat on the ledge and put our legs in - we didn't have any water shoes and didn't know what was on the bottom either. I would recommend you take water shoes with you and of course, wear your bathing suit. This is worth the trip. At the moment, I cannot remember the cost but they do have a web site: www.vientofresco.net.

“Nice treck & horseback riding”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

I found this place looking for things to do in the area. The place is run by people from the area, which makes it a real chance to get in touch with locals... The person at the reception explained us the options (full walk or walk + horseback riding), no pressure on which to get - really nice! ... At the end selected the walk + horseback riding, which turned to be a great choice, since even in the map the trails are short, the area is really steep and walk back to the entrance requires to be in great shape (added to the hot/humid weather), besides, the trail for horses takes you through a different route with great views... A must if around.

“Bonita”

The falls were gorgeous especially the Rainbow falls. The trek back up to the car was ROUGH! lol steep walking and slick if it rained. I recommend dipping ur toes or such in the rainbow falls on the way back to cool off before heading up the rest of the way!!

“We loved the waterfalls”
Reviewed July 27, 2012

We liked the hike to get there and the falls were nice. The rainy season had started some time ago and there was a lot of water to make the water falls impressive.

“Exceptional and beautiful adventure!!!!”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

My wife and I chose to visit four of the five waterfalls and enjoyed every minute. It started out with a nature hike on trails through the mountains and forests admiring the different animals, insects, and plants Costa Rica has to offer. At each waterfall, our guide took pictures (as well as the horseback ride) and the last waterfall, we took a refreshing dip in the lagoon. After our dip in the last waterfall, horses were waiting to take us back to the restaurant for lunch. The lunch was phenomenal and plentiful by the way!!! The guide, horses, and the dog, "Palamo", were all very helpful and entertaining. We stayed in Playa Flamingo which was about 2 1/2 hours away, but his trip was well worth the ride. Tip, having 4WD will help the drive be less treacherous. Once you are closer to the site, the roads are unpaved and very rocky.
