This temple is not in the Patan Square but close nearby. It is a special temple with over 9,000 terracotta carvings of Buddha. I believe the original temple was destroyed and rebuilt after the large earthquake that rocked Nepal back in the 1940's. Some of the rubble was used to build a temple to honour Buddha's mother which is in the same area. It is certainly worth the visit.
