We stayed for 4 nights at Country Villa, mainly to acclimatise a bit in preparation for Tibet. It turned out to be an excellent choice. We had a beautiful room with windows on 2 sides plus balcony for viewing the famed sunrise. The breakfast was super, served on the terrace. As the day warmed up, many hawks were soaring above the hillside. We went for a couple of walks until my husband was forced to stay close to the room due to altitude problems. The staff even sent over a fruit and biscuits platter for him, decorated with fresh flowers!
Lovely location, excellent food, good staff, clean and well maintained.
There was a notice in the lobby about power cuts, but in the evening they used the generator located across the road out of earshot.

Rooms are good and well furnished. Rooms service is not there except for drinks. Located at good place and sunrise can be seen from there. Please opt rooms at higher level for good view of sunrise. Food is also good.

Only stayed a night but I love the sunset and sunrise from the hotel. It was a pity there were few dining choices when we around. The staff were very prompt with their services. We booked a triple room and it was really spacious but lacked a balcony so we were all standing in the morning cold at the hotel lobby waiting for the sunrise at 5am instead of our room. Overall, we loved what the hotel sets out to offer, a brilliant view of the mountains.

Stayed with a couple of friends. The entrance is pretty much on the road, nothing grand about it. But everything changes once you enter the lobby. We went during the holiday period (Dussera), hence the lack of efficient service. But it wasn't unprofessional by any means.
We got a cottage style room a little further down the mountain, but the views were still amazing. The only thing we were a bit unhappy about was that they din't inform us during check-in that the dinner service was a fixed menu and for a limited time as they were short staff due to the festive period. We received a call at 8pm that the dinner service closes at 8.30pm!(thank god for the call!!) The wi-fi in the lobby and bar was free, but dint work most of the time though.
But apart from this, we had a smooth stay. The rooms were clean and toilets well maintained. The breakfast was average but the views from the breakfast deck were to die for!!
If you are on a slightly lower budget, then this place is perfect in Nagarkot, where you do not have to compromise with the views!
The town itself is a very small village, mostly known for the sunrise and sunset views with little else to do.

Only stayed one night in April 2013, and was really impressed with the Hotel.
Excellent staff, great service, free wi-fi in the lobby and bar, Great rooms, Absolutely fantastic view right from the room balcony, scrumptious breakfast.
The bathroom door in our room was a little bent out of shape, but apart from that, i couldn't find anything else amiss.
Nagarkot is a must visit and this hotel is ideally located if you would like to glimpse, from a very far off, the great Everest peak. It's miles away and you need an absolute perfectly clear day to see the peak as a tiny silhouette against the horizon.

Room Tip: If you chose apartment rooms choose the ones facing east. Awesome view!

I was staying there for one night with a group of friend before visiting Bisket Jatra in Bkahtapur the following day.

It was already dark when we arrived. I fell in love with the warmth of the staff as well as the interior of the lobby. I was pretty tired after the trip that day and I did hope to get a good room which I eventually got. The room was small however it was quite convenient, love the big window and the balcony. The bathroom was standard and I got problem with the shower handle.

That night the hotel was full due to Nepali new year and the restaurant served buffet BBQ and limited a la carte. The food was okay.

I got terrible night as some groups were singing and cheering almost the whole night and too bad the management didn't do anything about that.

The surprise came in the morning when the sun rose and the scenery of the valley below appeared. Too bad (again) the weather was not in our favor that day.

The bearkfast was very standard, nothing much to tell.

The front office staff were professional and I think the restaurant staff could do the same.

Might not look grand from the outside but the inside is great. Clean, tidy, warm, lovely garden and more they're offering.

Almost all rooms are able to see the sunrise over himalaya range. Make sure you ask before doing the booking. However we had to walk out for sunset, which is fine for us as it only take less than 2mins walk.

Restaurant staff are attentive and the view you get by sitting outside is just fantastic. it could get slighly chilly at night and dawn due to its altitude so bring a thin sweater is a good idea.

Feel really cosy to stay at lobby area after dinner reading magazines, using wifi or walk out to the balcony area for night starry sky.

Good accomodation at Nagarkot.
