Cafe du Mont has some of the most excellent views in all Nagarkot. Both from the terrace and from the viewing plarform at the top of the restaurant. Really great. So, twice we visited the restaurant and once had a meal there. Chow mein it was, if I remember correctly. Nothing spectacular, but quite ok. It was not because of the food but because of the view we came in the first place.
Apart from the view, the restaurant has another advantage over all others in Nagarkot. Their head waiter, Mr Caron was just about the kindest and most helpful waiter in all Nepal. He took care of the needs of everyone. For us he gave really good tips of where to go and what to do next. He even helped us make a booking in Bhaktapur, which was our next destination. And he explained us in detail all the work of Suomen Latu (Finnish skiing organisation) had done in Nagarkot.
And best of all - he had the broadest smile of anyone we had met during our one month long trip. And that is a lot to say when thinking of how kind and wonderful all Nepalese people are.
Thank you Caron for making us feel special!
