Great to stay in an old church and at the same time enjoy all the comfort of modern living. Great to stay with young kids too for lots of toys available.
Ideal location from which to explore Scotland. Only 1 hour & 15 min drive from Edinburgh and a lot of nice villages to visit within 10 minutes drive.
Would definitely visit again.

“Lovely holiday cottage”
Reviewed October 30, 2012 for a stay in October 2012

Great cottage in lovely location. I little hard to find the first couple of times but it's a fine location once you know where it is. Loads of space, great for entertaining, great for kids. Very peaceful. Outside there are tons of lovely walks nearby and Dunkeld & Aberfeldy are close for supermarkets / bookstores / coffee shops / delis, etc. Wi-fi is pretty slow but really, is that why you want when you go away to the country for a week? Highly recommended.

“Superb and memorable location - highly recommended!”
Reviewed September 11, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

We stayed at the Old Kirk for a long weekend for our annual family reunion. As a party of three families, including two young children, we were looking for somewhere spacious, child friendly and a bit special...and found the Old Kirk surpassed our expectations!

As soon as you enter the property, it has a wow factor - amazing open plan living area, high beamed ceiling, stained glass windows. The kitchen and utility room were very well equipped, and the four bedrooms (one on a split level ideal for sharing with a baby) suited our needs perfectly. The dining space accommodated everyone comfortably, and the playroom, well stocked with toys and books, was a real bonus. Our three year old loved playing in the garden, though the slope obviously means young children would have to be supervised at all times.

The location is superb for trips throughout Strathtay, with loads of lovely walks and places to visit locally.

All in all, highly recommended for those seeking a unique and memorable location for a holiday or family get together.

“Perfect for family holiday, super well equipped”
Reviewed August 27, 2012 for a stay in August 2012

The Kirk is a great vacation place with room for up to two families. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with what looks like new pans, crockery and all appliances you could need. the kids loved ringing the church bell before every meal. Farmers up the road do amazing salads. Shed is full of kids toys and good swing and climbing in the yard. We used the kiddie carrier for our walks. They even have a potty and baby cot. Area is gorgeous and there is a lot to do. Beatrix Potter center in town is lovely. Wifi bandwidth not enough for watching films, but fine for email. 8 year old loved the videos and games - sadly for him we had only one rainy day. Ate raspberries from the yard and had a deer there one morning!
