Cotter Trout Dock

Like I said this fishing guide service was the best ever. I've been on 100+ guided fishing trips and this one was the best overall trip. We fished three days and the high temperature was 38. i caught so many fish i didn't feel the cold. Everyone was nice, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable from the Top Down. The guides wanted us to catch as many as we could and they put us right on them. Bald Eagles catching fish right in front of me. Ducks and Geese flying down the river gorge, Beavers swimming by Great Blue Herons fishing from atop logs and rocks in the river and deer eating grass from the small pastures that occasionally would come along. Very few boats on the river maybe two or three we saw each day and the fly fishermen wading in the rapids were few and far between.

I shouldn't recommend that everyone go here and check it out but that would be selfish. If you want to do a family trip with children then staying in Branson Mo would be perfect and there is more to do than you can actually do.

We hired two boats and two guides. Floated from Cotter to the White Buffalo takeout just North of the confluence with the Buffalo River. Both guides knew the river and where to find 'em. All five of us each caught over 30 rainbows and browns and had the time of our lives. The shore lunch was a feast. Highly recommended trip and outfitter.

Room Tip: Stayed around the corner at the Cotter Trout Lodge. Great bed - cold air conditoning and wonderful...
